and BTW what happens when you have a body type that doesn't match the armor your wearing?

 

well, since the body changes both meshes and textures, if you are using an armor for another body type, the textures will be different, so it will look rather bad (depending on how different the two textures are, of course)

but other than that, it is not a problem

 

and following what you said you like, maybe the HGEC body will be what you want

and if you like the bigger breasts, you can get a D cup, H cup, and i think there are even bigger ones to find (though i never look at them, as i just don't like it)

well, it is actually really easy to change the naked body

basically, you can use any clothing item as the base body, so it will be what you see, when you look the NPC

it can be anything from a naked body, to a full suit of metal armor :biggrin:

 

just copy the mesh that you want to use as a base, and paste it to the folder with the body (meshes -> characters -> _male) and rename it to the name of the body (either the upper or lower body) and it should work perfectly :)

 

of course, make sure to use the base body mod for that clothing, so that the textures will look properly

I guess what I was looking for was more of a general improvement in skin texture. I'm perfectly fine with some of the NPCs being ugly, I just want the quality of their ugliness to be good. I'm not wanting every NPC to look like super models, just to look more realistic.

 

The nudity thing was a major gripe of mine from Fallout 3 though. I got a mod that made people look better, but I stopped looting their armor after a while merely to avoid the massive quantity of dongs that were shown throughout the world.

If you want realistic, yet better-looking body, there're some choices: Robert's female body replacer and The Girl Next Door(if you want to keep HGEC textures).

If you want to quickly look through most of the body types out there then you can use BBB Designer body spell. It gives you a spell that allows you to switch your body type without constantly adding or removing files from/to the data folder. It does not include Robert's female, so if you want to try that one out you should install it using the normal procedure.

 

As others have said, you body type will change depending on what clothing you wear, so if you're partial to one type over another you will have to also find outfits converted/made for that type; i.e. if you like GUTS then you must install GUTS outfits to maintain your girlish figure. :wink:

Because no one, including me and electro can add it without mangling body texture. *sigh* Set Body mod can cover almost all known subtypes of EyeCandy Body(including TGND), yet you have to replace whole meshes and textures, clothing replacers if you want to try out other female body replacers(for male body, Robert's is the only widely-used one...).

If you want the body types that are covered by the most mods and clothing go with Roberts Male and HGEC. The nice thing about HGEC (not sure about roberts) is that when you install the OMOD it gives you the choice of nude or underwear. You can then find 4096x4096 res textures that will make the races look even better. If you want all the stock armor and clothing to fit those meshes downloads EVEs stock clothing and armor replacer

All i figure out is that if you want

to see what you want, is to start

dload and combine the original mod

then the updates and then the fix

packages and test them by your self.

I was looking for a complete pack

when i was register here in Nexus

but all the compilations that i found

were a collection of someone else

taste. That lead me to learn much

more about game, the companion

tools (OBMM, WRYE BASH etc) and

omod creation procedure and usage.

installed in data folder, you have to

collect only what you like to have.

Is there a nice body mod that just makes people look better, without adding giant breasts or nudity? I play this game with my girlfriend, and I just want to make the people in Oblivion look more realistic, not look like porn stars.

 

I suggest you check out HGEC EVE. I think it does contain smaller breast size and it sure contains underwear instead of fully naked edition for when your character has nothing on and the best part it contains mesh replacers for all vanilla oblivion gear, including shivering isles. It also has mesh replacers for stuff like OOO. It's really the most complete of all the body replacers.
