WastelandAssassin
ok, so it all happens in the cells of the Boomers.....and yet it didn't happen when you were taken to Pearl?? this is indeed very strange......do you have any mod that changes any of these cells or NPCs??i just don't know all of the mods in your load order..... SColla
No. None of the mods change anything regarding the Boomers. But I do have mods that affect Veronica, who is with me. Also, I made a new character and no issues yet. Might be a corrupt save or something. It was an Auto save point and that could be corrupt. I don't know. WastelandAssassin
well, maybe if you can take your new character to that boomers base now (just use god mode or TGM and run all the way there), you will be able to find if the problem is still there, and see about fixing it if it still exists
SColla
Ok, I did as you advised and I have 0 issues. Must be something with Veronica.
Hjaaalmar
Are you using a CPU with more than two cores/threads and if so have you applied the ini-fix that limits the game to two cores (see below)? If not my experience is that certain locations will cause CTD, usually dark indoor locations a description the ant filled generator room would fit. in fallout.ini change:bUseThreadedAI=0to:bUseThreadedAI=1and below add the line:iNumHWThreads=
SColla
I'm running an i7 980x Extreme. Never had any issues before in the dark areas. So since I haven't had any issues should I still do what you said?
SColla
I have finished "Ant Misbehavin" and I go to save my game and it CTD'd. I load the game several times and even FT some where else and try and save and I still get CTD'd. If no one has any ideas on what else to try, I will be reinstalling. Hjaaalmar
I'm running an i7 980x Extreme. Never had any issues before in the dark areas. So since I haven't had any issues should I still do what you said? It's simple to do and simple to undo so I recommend you try it. Your processor would definitely fit the bill of being potentially too good for the engine to handle. If you do the fallout.ini is in your document folder usually under My Games/FalloutNV. SColla
Ok, will give that a shot. Back to the CTD. I have uninstalled ALL my mods. The Boomer's area is buggy for me, but no more CTDs. Howver, I go to the Nellis museum to hear their story and pete starts telling his story, then after he says: Not even a hand grenade. Then just stops. Doesn't say anything else at all. SColla
Yup, that really smoothed the game play out for me. Thanx!
