LHammonds
Since the 2.5x branch seems to be getting close to a final release, it is high time we start learning the new interface and differences between 2.4x and 2.5x if you have not already done so. Currently, we rely on 2.49b as our primary tool because PyFFI and Blender NIF Scripts are designed to work with it. Jumping onto the Blender 2.5x version leaves us with a product that cannot import or export our game models (NIF). However, we do need to make the transition from one to the other eventually and this topic is aimed at helping those familiar with Blender 2.4x to use the new design of Blender 2.5x. If you install Blender 2.49b according to my instructions, you can have a solid 32-bit version for importing and exporting your game models. But on a 64-bit operating system, you can download and install the 64-bit version of Blender 2.5x and it will not interfere with the 2.49b 32-bit version. Therefore, you can have both on your system at the same time. Here is a list of helpful places to find tutorials on the new Blender 2.5x tool:BlenderCookie.com has a Tutorial Tips section that has a lot of helpful videos.>> Will add more here over time <<
