adding dropbox to new town

is it possible to add a working mojave dropbox to a new settlement? and if so how do i do it, so that it actually conects with the other boxes?

"Working" as in "Monkeys start dancing when you put something in it"?

 

 

WORKING AS IN I CAN SEND ITEMS FROM THE PRIMM MOJAVE DROPBOX OR THE BOX ON THE STRIP AND SEND THE ITEMS TO MY NEW SETTLEMENT OR TOWN.

 

I'd apreciate people replying who actually know what the mojave dropboxes do, and not give sarky answers unnecessarily.

Never noticed these. AND IF THEY WORK IN THE GAME IT WILL BE POSSIBLE TO ALSO MAKE ADDITIONAL ONES WORK IN A MOD.

I am so annoyed with "people" like you who comment on things they obviously know nothing about!

 

If you don't know what they are, don't bother commenting. They don't work "automatically", if it can be done, you have to link them with the other dropboxes, as they are labelled as quest items I want to know if there is something I have to tick or copy and paste sciprt of something to make them accept my town dropbox?

 

It doesn't do it automatically, DUH, I'vew already tried it, also tried linking them. So if there is someone who managed to get them working I would apreciate answers from that person and not from you.

If you promise to not bite me i can take a look at these when i get home, they prolly have some script. General tip: try looking at stuff in GECK, if they do something special it's very likely they have a script. GECKs "find" function is super-mighty, just copy the name of the object into it and its gonna tell you exactly in which scripts, objects, quests and so in this appears, makes tracking down such phenomena very easy.

vMojaveExpressBox is the object and will need a Unique ID for your box.

 

vMojaveExpressFirstMessage and vMojaveExpressShippingMessage will need to be edited to add another option.

 

vMojaveExpressControlBoxSCRIPT and vMojaveExpressBoxSCRIPT

will both need to be edited to include your new box.

 

 

 

I considered adding a new box to my mod, the problem is it will cause major conflicts if someone else adds one with their mod.

 

A better option is to add a second system. A competitor if you will.

Yeah. I found the scripts, Just wanted to make sure they had to be changed. So I was part way there. I don't have any other town or player home mods on my game, so it shouldn't cause coflicts. Let's see if I can go screw it all to heck now LOL. :geek:
