Loffi
I have tried finding information on this (possible) bug, but have found nothing so far. The problem is, I got The Knights' Tomb quest fairly late in the game, having already completed the quest A Dalish Perspective. This seems to bug the The Knights' Tomb, so that even after I have found all the Emerald seals, entered the chamber etc. the objective to find the tomb never disappears. Even after I give the scroll back to the elves, the objective to still "find the tomb" doesn't go away, and the quest isn't completed. I do get the operation Bestow Mourning Halla, however... Does anyone know of a way to finish the quest? I am too much of a completionist to just have it stuck in my journal... I'm playing the PC version with the latest patch and not using any mods. Mushashi7
Did you loot everything? Or did you leave something? For farming? Many quests only finish if you loot the target completely. Like the coffins in The Temple of Pride. You only finish the quest if you empty the coffins entirely.
Loffi
I am pretty sure I have done everything that can be done in the tomb: every area shows as explored on the map and the only things left I can interact with are the ladders. Without actually knowing anything about the mechanics of the quest, it would seem that the game missed the trigger that completes the objective "find the tomb", perhaps upon entering the Tomb of the Emerald Knight on the lowest level of the dungeon for the first time (or opening the doors?). Nothing in that area can be interacted with anymore (except the two ladders), as I have lit all of the veilfire torches, killed the enemies that spawn after that and taken the scroll. I think there were also a couple of chests (or something like that) to loot, but I have gotten them also. There simple seems to be nothing left I could do. I haven't found a walkthrough that would exactly state at which point the objective to "find the tomb" should show as completed, so I can't really know what should have happened (I usually don't follow walkthroughs while playing except to check if I think I have missed something). Loffi
Well, after some time running aimlessly back and forth I seem to have accidentally solved my problem. What I had to do was exit the whole dungeon, check my map, enter the dungeon, exit again, enter again and IMMEDIATELY LOOK AT MY MAP. That completed the "find the tomb" objective and the quest. I suppose that just entering the dungeon for the first time was supposed to do that, but for whatever reason it didnt happen. I tried also just exiting and re-entering, but opening the map screen just after entering seemed to be necessary too...
Tanyara89
I got stuck on this too and didn't manage to solve it by going in and out. After eight tries or so I gave up and decided to search through the whole area again. As soon as my Inquisitor saw the bodies of the inquisition soldiers inside the door to dinan hanin and commented "this is our men" or something like it, the quest was completed!
