Placeable Traps/Tripwires/Grenade bouquets etc!

I know its possible I just have no idea how.

Any ideas/help would be great.

I like the idea of making a calculated assault of an enemy base. Sneaking in at night and rigging the place with traps and funneling the enemy into choke points.

I have a bunch of ideas for traps. To start with, I think it would be great if a player could make traps out of junk. For example: Surgical tubing+Junk+3 grenades should allow you to make your own grenade bouquet. Making the tripwire set of a mininuke would be awesome as well. You can see where I'm going with this.

I downloaded the GECK and have spent a couple hours reading and looking at scripting examples and I feel like I knew less than I did. I don't have time to learn this thing from the ground up so please help help help!

I'm willing to work on this myself but I just need a little help with the ground work!

Cheers

http://geck.bethsoft.com/index.php/Bethsoft_Tutorial_Non-NPC_population is bethesda's trap tutorial. I have never set one up myself, but I hear they can be a bit buggy sometimes.

I am not sure how well a player set trap would work.

My idea is like this.

A player created say a shotgun trap. When the player sets the trap down, it adds a tripwire to his inventory. When the player drops the tripwire, it would automatically link the two, since one is calling the other into existance, this may be possible. But possibly not.

it always bothered me that you pick up tin cans for scrap metal yet you cant pick up or carry and reposition these bear traps as a regular item (if nothing else thats a lot of valued scrap metal there)

i think shotgun AND bear traps should be like mines where you can disarm and pick them up to sell or reuse as you wish

just my thoughts on traps issue
