marcusriv75
hi i was enjoying putting in three hour sessions in new vegas but ever since the new patch i suffer crashes, "fallout new vegas has stopped working" etc., after about an hours play. i have updated my ATI drivers and at the moment i just have to play for an hour, then re-load.the crashes are random, sometimes triggered by starting a conversation or saving or opening pip-boy.i have tried verifying game files in steam and disabling steamcloud. has anyone got any ideas? i have: i7 920/ Radeon 5800/ 6GB RAM/ Win7 64-bit. I get a bluescreen for about half a second, then my computer restarts. :/ Updated drivers, defragged HD, reinstalled....... to no avail. :(
JimboUK
Have you applied the 10.10e hotfix? if so try a clean install of the original 10.10 drivers, that hotfix caused similar problems for me on a 5870.
secksegai
I'd recommend getting a replacement directx dll file to place in your fallout directory to override your drivers - can't remember all the details, but it basically dealt with coding issues. I crashed a lot more often before using a specially generated dll appropriate for my video adapter and fallout3nv - there are several listings on the nexus, just use what's applicable.
