WarKirby3333
[ I'm not exactly sure, but it seem reasonable that it would be 255. Try deleting some of your less important mods, and use the Tes IV Plugin Utility to merge plugins that you are sure do not conflict with one another. Use google to find that utility because I can't remember where it is. WarKirby
wickerman85
hey ive fount that utility thanks, whih makes me wonder, has any1 done a merged esp weapons pack or quests etc? having 40 different esp files just to add more weapons to the game is alot for something that could be done with 1 esp of them all merged together, so has any1 merged anything like this? mnkyslut
I suppose you could merge them yourself with the CS. The issue is when a mod is updated, and you know the good ones are always updated, you'll have to update your huge esp manually.
sleaaels
I guess you could always use those mods. that have been around for a while (more then likely the creator is happy with it) rather then including those new ones. Well if your getting that popup saying; "To many files selected," then just count the selected mods and you get max number of mods possible on Oblivion. Abramul
I was looking through the Wiki, and happened across the Unclean Dialogue page. Although it doesn't expicitly say so, it would appear that the maximum number of mods would be #FF, or 255. [uncertain]Apparently the way OB avoids conflicts is to set the reference number of each object in a mod to #nnxxxxxx, where #nn is the load order (how many mods were already loaded), and #xxxxxx is the reference within the mod.[/uncertain]
