majikmonkee Posted November 24, 2010 Share Posted November 24, 2010 So how's this for a mod idea? Ever wonder why Uriel Septim seemed so accepting of his death? Because he knew it was not the end! You see, prior to the events at the beginning of the game, the Emperor, fearing for the future of Tamriel and his own mortality, sought out Archmage Hannibal Traven and requested he help him cheat death. Trevan used the mystic arts to create a colossal soul gem, which the Emperor would be required to carry on his person at all times. Should Uriel Septim's life be taken from him, his soul would be transferred to the gem, where it would reside until returned to a viable host. These hosts exist in the form of magically created, younger clones of the Uriel Septem, nestled away in suspended animation in a vault high in the snowy mountains of Cyrodiil. Unfortunately, the Emperor's advisor, the one man aware of the secret to the Emperor's restoration, has witheld this information in favor of a new regime. After having the mysterious gem containing the Emperor's soul given to him by the Blades, he makes plans to destroy the gem and eventually, the Emperor's clones, in the hopes of preventing the resurrection. However, the Emperor comes to the Champion of Cyrodiil once more in a dream, beckoning him to find the gem, the vault of life (clones), and a scroll with the mysterious incantation needed to bring the two together, before the Emperor's soul fades from Cyrodiil forever... Normally I'd make up names of people and places here, but I'm no modder, and if someone else uses some part of the idea, I'd just as soon they not have to change names I came up with already... =P Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
