Dullahan
Hey guys, Ok, so the Olde Ones smiled upon me, and i was able to get a new copy of Obilvion. I installed the patch, to patch the game to v. 1.1.225, which worked fine before, except, of course, for the brightness issue. Ok, so i patched it, and when i go to play, i see that i am still given an option to set my game quality to very low, low, medium, and so on, so i raised an eyebrow, because when i patched it last time, i wasn't given that option, and it just configured itself automatically for Low Quality, and the lips were in sync to the words, and the chase camera was pretty good. Ok, problem is, i patched it, and it seems worse now then ever. The lips are out of sync, the chase camera is shakey, making combat almost impossible, and it is STILL bright. can anyone link me to the update for oblivion? v 1.1.558, is it? Because clearly, something strange is going on. And when i hit a character with an enchanted weapon, they just have a black orb around the character/monster.. which blocks my line of sight until they fall. And the game is really sluggish, i have to pound om y keyboard AGAIN to access a simple hot-key. Any tips?

Dullahan
It could just be your PC, what are the specs? Too pitiful to display, actually. I have a Dell 3000. We're talking about a computer no longer being made due to the fact that it's a piece of piss. Basically, i have an integrated motherboard (those idiots..) so i can't really get a really good PCI card, and yes, i am forced to use PCI, as i have no PCI Express or AGP slots. I guess my $1,000+ didnae warrent a half-way decent pc. But i doubt that is the problem, actually. I fixed it. But i still have the lack of darkness problem, where dungeons are as bright as the Imperial City at High Noon. We're talking bright. No shadows, nothing. I'm a NightBow, Stealth Class, Mystic. I NEED shadows, but i do not know where the heck to hide, because, well, there are none at all in dungeons, which makes it less challenging. For example, with the Dream Sequence where you had to find your way through a 'dark' trap-filled path. I didnae even need the torch. That lacked challenge, and really, the patch isn't that good.
