mudbug6483
I like the idea of the followers-BOS aliance. they both want basicly the same thing-protect mankind from itself. However one takes the dangerous toys away from the kiddies while the other teaches them how to rebuild what the toys blew up. Set it up so that Veronica convinces the bos t o create a third branch. So you have the paladins to take the tech, the scribes to research the tech, and the followers so teach the outsiders an alternative to using their sacred tech. It should be acceptable to the codex since no " dangerous" technology would be leaked through the followers. Only medicine, farming, and maybe some perimiter defence turrets for home and village defense-nothing offensive though. I think the boomers would have fit in great as airborne paladins. Both are reclusive, both are gun nuts and both have access to some pretty advanced tech (ok a 300 year old bomber isnt advanced but in the wasteland it is). And since we need to be lore friendly, if in FO2 you gave the vertibird plans to the brotherhood, how the H**L did the ncr get them and not the brotherhood? The ncr didnt even know about navaro, the brotherhood did. Also I hated mr house. yeah he has grand hopes for man but at the cost of liberty and choice.. I killed him and put yes man in charge but was po'd that you could only ignore the families and the kahns You had to kill off rader camps and khan camps in FO 1&2 and not you have to save them since they got a bum deal in bitter springs? They killed women and children for a hundred year now and your supposed to feel bad that the wheel of kharma rolled right over them this time. WTF\. I want to kill em off. Why do you only tell yes man to ignore the factions? why not get the option to kill them with the robot army? The lets be friends barney the dinosaur option sucked. I really wanted to turn the robot army over to the BOS under the provision they leave enough in vegas to keep is protected from the fiends and raiders and to keep the ncr in line. Their going to do all they can to take it anyway regardless of how big the defeat is in this region. As soon as the eastern brotherhood gets LIBERTY PRIME operational again they'll send him west to crush house anyway. Or build another out west with the plans for the first one Theres no way they would stand for house being in control of that tech.Ok got off on a rant there. Aline the BOS and followers in a way thats ok under the codex and annex the boomers into the brotherhood. Add some script in the side bets quest to let you not just ignore everyone but actively kill them off like house makes you do with the brotherhood and Id be stoked. I havent done a legian playthrough yet so i dont know whats laking from that ending set yet.
WraithA7
I wanted the BoS to be a part of my new army. The Securitrons would be the mechanized branch of my army, the BoS the other, taking care of things like caravan protection and things like that. Nihilisaurus
I wnat to be NCR president. Fold the Brotherhood into the republic as an elite branch of the military (with seats on the senate too), bring the Followers in to replace those dimwit scientists at McCarran (and continue doing their thing with some NCR troopers to stand guard/provide helping hands), give the Boomers custody of the area directly east of the colorado in exchange for keeping it -and the opposite bank) clear with their artillery and bomber. Annex Vegas, keep it all the same but impose a casino tax on profits. As for the Khans? They mostly deserve what they got but that's not how the people of Vegas see it. Help them shift their trade to more acceptable substances with more... stable customers, perhaps the followers could have them manufacture medicine if the Casino tax bankrolled it... LaZaHK
I really don't know, but it has to be good for the BoS.You can send me to destroy the dreams of a man who thought about them for over 200 hundred years and then kill him.You can send me to kill a man whose army reigns the nightmares of soldiers and citizens of the NCR.You can send me to kill the most important person of the most populated nation in the whole Wasteland. But I won't ever, EVER, f*** with the Brotherhood of Steel, I mean, I know my limits! marharth
Something no one else thinks about... I would give governing control to the followers of the apocalypse, use the robot army to secure positions, make the legion leave entirely, and kill anyone who says no. I would try to make a peace deal with the NCR, letting them live in my area as long as they don't try to establish a strong military force. I would also give the NCR a choice to switch over to my human army, that would be for the police force. I would also make a deal with the BoS, and let them live in the bunker and research. I would allow them to study new technology, but I wouldn't let them keep everything. If anyone in the BoS wanted to, they could join my army. I would make it so Yes Man could not upgrade (i would tell him to not upgrade, then he would have to obey :P). So he couldn't turn on me. I would kill Mr.House since he seems like he would turn the entire wasteland into a fascist s*** hole. I would put the great khans into my army if they want to be in it. I would completely destroy all the fiends. The jackals and the other small gangs would be given a choice to join my army or leave. The boomers will be able to self govern within their community, but they will have to aid me in case of battle. All casino group will be able to join my army, or have their weapons taken. Jacobstown will be guarded by a few of my robots, in case of humans trying to be stupid. Jacobstown will be told to everyone, but anyone who doesn't seem to like super mutants will not be allowed to enter. I will take off all borders within the vegas city, merging freeside, westside, and new vegas. The king will act as the main police force within new vegas, and the westside militia will merge with the kings. I will allow all of the powder gangers to be set free, but all there explosives and weapons will be taken. I will set up a prison were the powder ganger HQ used to be. I will make a law system, and for serious offenses to the law system people will be sent there for a time to work. All of the vaults will be cleared out, and will act as cites. I could keep going but its just wishful thinking, the only way the above could ever happen is by a massive mod project lol.
ngin890
I somewhat agree with marharth in his dream with new vegas but with some changes. The Legion would have to go for good, crazy dressed psychos are the last thing vegas needs, and the robot army would be in my control, that fascist House will have to go. The NCR would be forced to evacuate their armies and instead only be allowed to send civilians and unarmed, off duty soldiers whenever they like. Mainly because the NCR is to much like the real government and is highly ineffective and cares nothing for the lay man. Along with my army of robots though the BoS would be added to the special forces of the army and protect new vegas as its own branch of the military. Also they would be moved to McCarran for their scientific research and new base of operations. The BoS is pretty damn awesome and would make one hell of a human military. Plus as an official peacekeeper the citizens would love them and they could more easily buildup their advanced technology stockpiles. The only change made to the BoS itself would be that the would answer to me and I could do what I please with some of their tech. The followers would as well be given a place in new vegas as the doctors, scientists, and helpers of the mojave. With their alliance and official spot in new vegas they could greatly help rebuild and assist the people of new vegas. Also seeing that hey are generally nicer and more liberal with technology than the BoS they would often be paired with the brotherhood to ensure they act appropriately. With the follower and BoS alliance plus robots I would have all of new vegas itself joined together and fixed up with all the money from the casinos that I would be getting. After a while new vegas, even Freeside would be a prosperous and safe city welcome to all non-soldiers everywhere. As for the mojave the trade routes would be made safe and al the towns built up and fixed up to their own states of grandeur. All of the refugees in Bitter Springs would be moved to vegas for homes and to be used in the reconstruction effort. Vaults would be made into either uber same cities or special research/military/safe bunkers. The fiends would be wiped out to the last man given no hope or chance of survival. The other petty gangs like the vipers and jackals or any other raider or "unfriendly" gang would be wiped from the world. None of them would be given a chance to join the military. This way the mojave would be safe and crime free. Also drugs would be banned and all of the drugs from the fiends and found elsewhere will be utterly destroyed unless they can be used in medicine. But if they are spared then the will be under close guard. The powder gangers would be all round up and put back in prison or killed, along with any other gang members that surrender. They would be put within a fixed up correctional facility which would be manned by robots and BoS. the new facility will be a fixed up NCRCF. The prisoners would be forced work but I wouldn't be stupid enough to give them dynamite. Also the Great Khans would be wiped out entirely and their drug business would be ended. I have no compassion for a bunch of murdering drug dealers. The troublesome species of the mojave would be utterly made extinct for they serve the purpose as only nuances. Deathclaws, cazadores, geckos, radscorpions, and the like are simply examples. Other animals would be tamed and turned into herds and many areas would be turned into farms and the like. All of the nightkin and mutants of the mojave would be taken to Jacobstown where the nightkin cure awaits and where all the mutants will be made friendly. Some robots will be sent to protect the town and anyone will be allowed to go their if the behave. Also mutants will be welcome any where if the behave. The Boomers would join up with the army and become border patrol for the Colorado River side. The three families would be left alone but cannibalism, and illegal business would be prevented and all of the families would be closely watched. Wow, I think I really did rant on and i don't believe that I have said everything yet! Oh well, I will stop now though I imagine that I made myself clear enough. It s a same no mods exist to make a dream mojave.
Park77
I guess you're right secksegai. More choices just make you want more. I would like to see a yes man like ending, but with a twist depending on your reputation. Basically, earning the respect and adoration of most groups would result in basically an extension of the strip setup: a general balance of power between parties, with you being the new mr.house. Or if you are generally hated, having your securitron minions smite your foes. Actually that could all be predetermined based on what you say to yes man in your first conversation with him and what your various faction reps are. Marhath and ngin890 have some good ideas, but what that screams to me is an evolution in how story mechanics work. It would be awesome to see the next evolution of rpgs allow for more permutations leading to more divergent rather than convergent endings Edited December 20, 2010 by Park77

ngin890
i haven't completed it yet but i would join NCR and the brotherhood of steel to create one giant republic. You can forge an alliance with NCR and BoS but the brotherhood's role is diminished to advanced highway patrol men for the long 15. Very disappointing but at least they live.
