buffer545
Go for an independent Vegas, and then loot the Sierra Madre because you can just send out an army of Securitrons and don't have to worry about losing agents.
drakeelvin
It would have been nice to allow The Courier to integrate into the command structure of his chosen side and rise in the ranks. As it is, no matter what side you are on and no matter how much you help, you are always an outsider, just a hired mercenary really. I probably felt more like a part of the BoS than anyone else because they accepted me as an official member and as part of the ceremony I got power armor training, so to me I felt more at home with them than any other faction. I agree with every word of this, though I'd maybe extend it to the Followers as well as the BoS. - one of the reasons I wished for a better end-game role for the BoS and Followers. Although I guess there weren't any formal "ranks" for Mr. House, I was especially disappointed in how that ending didn't really get the courier away from being just the hired help. Especially considering the earlier dialogue where Mr. House talked about grooming Benny to take over things one day and that the courier was the perfect replacement, I was expecting at least some dialogue where House would establish a substantial 2nd-in-command type role for the courier in the administration of a House-led, and ultimately House-less, New Vegas (at which time the courier would become the head honcho). And, in a perfect world, allowing the courier appoint Boone as Minister of Defence, Veronica as Minister of Technology (with her trying to get the BoS to play a role in the betterment of society), Cass as Minister of Supply Logistics, Julie Farkas as Minister of Health and ED-e as Minister of Cool Beeping. As a bit of an explanatory note, the only way I was even able to do the House ending was through the mod that allows the courier to not blow the BoS to smithereens. Otherwise, I felt that kind of betrayal would have been way too out of the courier's character after becoming a BoS member. On my first playthrough, without that mod, I actually intended to go with a Mr. House ending but, when I was presented with that decision, decided to kill him instead and go NCR. Blewvane
I'd have liked to be ruler of the wasteland with the NCR and the BoS as my troopers, and sitting in my penthouse suite playing Fallout 5 on Mr Houses screen. Married to a dozen strippers poledancing around the place, raking in the caps, and only having to leave my casino to sort out trouble. Taking over the Gun Runners facility as my armoury, the weapon at Helios One moved to my casino, the Boomers as my airforce, and a robot army as my police force. Then let the Legion, the Khans, and the rest come and get me.
Blewvane
...........oh and Cass as my 'special' friend with benefits, and Rex as my guard dog.
marharth
If there is a direct sequel then it will be the player helping the NCR. You can clearly tell due to the events that happen. Without the player, the legion would have completely destroyed the NCR in the Mojave. No room for a sequel if that happens. The legion would die out in a matter of years, and mr.house would be the same as before he started. So to everyone talking about a sequel, it would be the player helping the NCR, and nothing else. rausheim
What game-ending outcome I would like? Open-Ended gamemode after the whole thing at the dam!
marharth
What game-ending outcome I would like? Open-Ended gamemode after the whole thing at the dam! There is a simple mod for that. If they were to make game play after the storyline a bunch of faction s*** would be reset or they would need to continue the storyline, which would be a lot of work. However I think the last DLC will allow you to play after you finish. After all it will finish up the FONV storyline and there is hidden dialogue that happens after the dam battle. rausheim
What the devs said is that the final DLC will NOT give extended gameplay, like Broken Steel did. Hope they are just joking. Broken Steel was like a new game.

Broken Steel was like a new game. Then the devs are just lazy. There is no good reason the final DLC (that will finish up the storyline) should not take place AFTER the dam battle. I really hope the final dlc isn't just you traveling into a canyon to fight the other courier, it should finish up the storyline after the battle of the dam as well.
