kevineugenius
I have my game modded all to heck and I'd like to keep it that way. But, I've never tried the HD DLC. I have a completely unmodded game on my laptop, but you know how Steam is... So, if I download the HD DLC on my laptop (thereby linking it to my Steam library) I imagine my desktop will auto-update and download the HD DLC as well. Will that overwrite my texture mods like Tamriel reloaded and skin textures, etc? I think it'll be fine but I'm not that experienced in this stuff. Edit: on the same line of thinking, I also just bought the 'anthology' with all the DLC in it but I don't want to have to go through all 99 mods and see if they need changed after I install DLC. I should wait until I'm done with my current character, then install DG/DB/HF, then go through my mod list and change the ones that are necessary... right? Daiyus
You could just download them and then uncheck the plugins using the mod organiser of your choice until you're ready to use them. Every official DLC comes in an .esp/.bsa format so no need to worry about it overwriting anything.
kevineugenius
So, if I understand correctly, official DLC will show up in NMM and I can activate/deactivate it as I wish?
KiwiHawkNZ
Yes as long has your char has no saves with them in
BlackRoseOfThorns
.bsa files (HD DLC and Skyrim vanilla assets) will be overwritten with loose files (in Skyrim\Data folder) and by textures packed in .esp files.
kevineugenius
Well, it never did show up in NMM but I got it all working, including finding the checkboxes in Data Files to disable DLC if I need to.
