Would you post your mod list here. Please copy/paste it from Wrye Bash. Right click on the 'File' header under the tabs and select 'List Mods'. Yep, I made sure to run BOSS before rebuilding the patch, and used "update masterfile" too - I'm using Wrye Bash v.290 so it's integrated and runs automaticly from there. Note I say MAY be, because I have never run both together, but they are each vying to control the weather, and this may have unforseen issues. I also notice that you have two water mods, Enhanced Water HD and Natural Water. I would stick to just Enhanced Water HD if I were you -- there seems little point in having both. These two mods do not conflict as they are authored my the same person, Wrinklyninja. There was a minor conflict and error, in both All Natural and Enhanced Seasons scripts, but this has been resolved. Make sure you have the most recent version of Enhanced Seasons. You can also download a temporary test fix AN Scripts.esp to fix the script error in All Natural 1.1. Regardless, this in unrelated to your "grass" issue. Enhanced Seasons does not control the weather in any way. It effects the visual appearance, by altering saturation and contrast, of the weather and alters the day / night ratio depending on the season, similar to the northern hemisphere. Below a quote from the Description. Enhanced Seasons' features are: * Season-based graphical effects, changing saturation and contrast between seasons.* Seasonal and latitude-based sunrise/sunset times.* Seasonal weather volatility for vanilla weather. About your actual grass issue, unfortunately I have nothing to offer to assist with that, at this time. I will however dig around and try to find some related information. The only time I've ever had anything similar to what you are describing, although it wasn't related to the shadows setting but viewing angle, was with Alive Waters. There are some "bad" meshes in that mod that cause the grass to flicker and look awful from certain angles. This can be fixed by downloading a fixed version or overwriting the Alive Waters mesh with another, such as Diverse Grass or Vurts Landscape and Flora mod. On to your issue of missing meshes. To identify what mod a missing mesh is associated with you can use FormID Finder or RefScope to get this information. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
TJADER Posted December 3, 2010 Author Share Posted December 3, 2010 (edited) Hey guys, sorry for replying so late since you posted, been quite busy so I havent had time to try and fix it. Although I did download FormID Finder, but it stated that the torches were missing from oblivion main and not a mod, torches fixed now because of uninstall. I have tried to uninstall mods to see which was causing the grass flickering and nothing happened. I got really tired of it all and decided to reinstall Oblivion. So when I had finaly installed it again plus shivering isles and KOTN + DLCs, the grass flickering was still there. I cannot tell you how exhausted over this I felt then. I had no problems with the grass flickering before, so how in hell did it suddenly appear and wont go away even if reinstalling?! It is driving me nuts to say the least, I shouldnt have to turn of shadows on grass to get rid of this, there must be another way. Edit: I found someone who have had a similair problem, but with windows. Although I don't understand what he should do to fix it or if it gets fixed. But I deleted it when I reinstalled, so it shouldnt affect the reinstall. :( Another problem I had that came forth the same time I got the grass flickering was some flickering on the clothes where you can see through the model and thereby seeing the sky/world behind it, most notecible on the robes. Also really annoying that it didn't go away with the reinstall. I suggest you follow Bben's clean reinstall procedure, and do not be tempted to back up your old data folders and reinstate them after the install -- reinstall your mods again from scratch, and use OMODs where possible. Hey Hickory, thanks for the link. I did a complete clean reinstall, following that guide completely - but I still have the exact same problems I had before reinstalling. This is even without OMOD or any mods, just the original game plus shivering isles and the official DLCs. I cannot tell you how frustrated I am about this. The problems started with the Unofficial Oblivion Patch, which caused the first problem with the self-shadowing and then I think All Natural caused the grass shading to go haywire. I am at my limits, I have absolutely no idea what to do about this. I hoped to play Oblivion, but it might be so that I won't be able to because of all the bugs I have gotten... Although one really strange thing happened, after I reinstalled and took away everything oblivion related - I did find in the start of a new game that the Iron suit still had a mod on it. If this was the only one, i'd just turn off shadows on grass and thats it. But i also get flickering grass textures without even having any shadows enabled. See a video of my problem here. Please note: If you do not focus on the shadow flickering but instead look further up on the screen, you'll notice that the grass flickers. I get this in first person view as well. I have done EXTENSIVE testing and i came to the conclusion that this issue is most probably not/b] related to: * Graphics card (i tried with ATI HD 4870, 5870 and NVIDIA GTX 470, 480) * Overclocking (i set all my clocks to normal for a testing round, getting the same results)* Screen / TFT (tried with Samsung 2233RZ @ 120 Hz and LG 2452 T @ 60 Hz)* Resolution (tried with a variety of resolutions)* Operating system (tried Windows XP 32-Bit and Windows 7 64-Bit)* Oblivion settings (tried tweaking for a whole day)* Graphics card drivers and settings (reverted back to older drivers (the oldest available for the 470 even, for example), tweaked around with the settings for many, many hours)* Mods (for testing purposes i used an unmodded Oblivion version, fresh install directly from the DVD)* Harddrive (i switched to an SSD drive a few days back, installed Windows there - and aside from drivers - Oblivion only, same results) Its draining :/ For more details on my testing and issue(s) please check this thread.
