Race Replacer Overhaul

The following is a little bit to read but please bear with me so one of you can hopefully help me in creating a very immersive, diverse, and fun NPC mod.

I am wanting to replace each race with something that looks more bad ass. My goal is to make the NPCs extremely real, diverse, and have personality. I felt Oblivion lacks that heavily. The CNRP project inspired me to do this because it is incomplete and I'm wanting the rest of those NPCs done. I have replaced the Argonian with the Aquamer and the Khajiit with the Tabaxi so far. Now I am wanting to replace the dark elf with the drow and the high elf with the nephilim. I have done this, however the coloring on certain NPCs look really wacky (such as people being extremely dark green or dark blue instead of gray or black, or the high elf replaced with the nephilim still have gold skin) when this is done. This happens when I replace the textures on those races. How can I fix this? I think what's causing the discoloration is the attributes of the NPC faces, either that or of the race itself. All I did was replace the textures. So, I need an easier way to change the face attributes that won't take over ten hours. The reason I say this is because the whole face changes as you are changing one attribute. This is useful for making minor changes to make the face flow together, but not when you need to make drastic changes.

If the above isn't an option, then tell me if this one is. Instead of replacing races, I can change individual NPCs races and keep the default voices and attributes necessary so it wont conflict with the game. Is this possible without making the game crash?
