loveme4whoiam
Erunanion hefts his sword. "Of course i shall, if you will have me."He walks into line, looking down the stairs. "How wide is the staircase? If we can, can i cover your right side Alenee? Your pike is useful for reaching, but if someone is waiting against the wall, he could catch you out." He says this in a respectful tone, careful not to offend these people he has only recently met.
Kethruch
Alenee, Linden, and EruanionJune 5, 1048 0759 OOC - With Jouko's banning, I will temporarily run the character Jouko as an NPC. The opening is about 2' square, and further examination reaveals that the passageway below is about ten feet in width, and of an indeterminate length. Jouko becomes somewhat more tractable, saying "I will take the point. I'll go down, then drop me a torch." He hands the torch back to Linden. "I'm going to need both hands to get down there. Alenee, could you please cover me? I'll clear the bottom and then light the way for you guys." Tiemmo, Melisande, Helstar, And KrixoxJune 5, 1048 0738 Bengt blanches at the news that the bearer has been slain, but quickly catches himself. "Attacked strangers?" He looks incredulously at you. "No one of the guild would do that. We are a builders guild, not a rogues' gallery." His face brightens. "That must be it. The man who attacked you must have been a bandit who killed one from my guild, and liked the necklace. I still don't see how this relates specifically to me." He scans the group quickly. "Now, I've answered you question, may I please get back to my work?" He does not wait for an answer, he turns as if to go out the door.
Malchik
Tiemmo slides quickly between Bengt and the doorway. "I believe we have more information that you should know, sir. I am sure you cannot know it already?" He looks at Melisande. The man's behavious is increasingly resembling that of someone with something to hide. What do they think? Melisande
"Yes, sir." Melisande says, slowly pulling out the folded parchment. "This was inside of the amulet. It specifically refers the person back to this building. It has to be you that gave the amulet to Felecor, and your actions here show that you know more than you are saying. But we already knew that, since you did not tell us you recognized the amulet, and you gave it to this Felecor, you obviously did." She smirks smugly, then shows Bengt the letter. "The handwriting on this matches the writing of your own notes here on these maps. So tell me, what do you have against Waring Beadle?"
wesaynothin
Helstar suddenly bursts out in a fit of laughter, but tries to compose himself properly. "I seems that we have trapped the man without even trying." Helstar luaghs out, flanking the guards, instead of the man. "I would advise you, sir, that you answer our questions." Peregrine
"I wonder where that came from," Alenee thinks as she steps into position over the hole. Dismissing the odd change of behavior for now, she rechecks her arrow, then aims down into the hole past Jouko. "Alright, I've got your back..." she informs him. Kethruch
Alenee, Linden, Eruanion and JoukoJune 5, 1048 0800 Jouko cautiously goes down the ladder, and scans the bottom. Receiving the torch from Linden (assuming - as it was part of the plan) he waves it around frantically, as if he expects something to be behind him every time he turns. Eventually, he slows down, and calls up to you. "Looks clear! there was a huge monster down here, but I killed it for you already!." He moves away from the bottom of the ladder to the east. "It's a passageway of some kind - can't see the end." He yells up. Tiemmo, Helstar, Melisande, and KrixoxJune 5, 1048 0740 Bengt turns at the first words from Melisande. "Let me see that!" Bengt says with a growl as she finishes. He snatches the note out of Melisande's hand, and studies it, a furrow appearing in his brow. "There's a puzzle here still for you, then." He yells, throwing the piece of paper back to Melisande. "That's not my writing at all. Are you sure that you matched it up with something I wrote, I am not the only one who works in here, you know. And exactly what do you think you're doing?" He asks, turning to Helstar and Tiemmo. "You know, I'm beginning to think that you're no more than a bunch of thieves!" He motions to the guard to take positions at the doorway. "Warrick - go get help, I think we may need it."
Emry
Linden looks over to Alenee and Eruanion with a questioning look at Jouko's "battle" (i.e. what in god's name is he talking about??) She quietly remarks, "I think that he has lost touch with reality; there were no monsters down there that we have seen. I do not think it would be safe for him to accompany us further.... for him or for us." Peering over the edge, she calls down "Ah, Jouko? Could you come back up here? We need you ...." Melisande
Melisande pauses for a moment, grabbing the paper and looking at it. After a minute she starts up again. "So, if not you," she starts finally. "Then who else? This writing matches the writing on your maps, so at least I prove that someone who has access to this place wrote it. Give us the names so we can go question them."
Malchik
Tiemmo raises one hand, attempting to calm the situation. "I think, sir, that you should be concerned about someone, perhaps more than one, who works here sending those who, to my unbiased eyes, behaved like thieves and murderers into another's camp. You can surely not want that kind working for you. Help us and we will be helping you."
