Kethruch
June 05, 1048 0934 "Please, do sit." The constable says, motioning to benches around the courtyard. "I did not expect you, but please, there is plenty here." He waits for the newcomers to be seated. "It seems as though there was something odd indeed going on, as what you say," he says, motioning to the new group, "is completely verifiable. That in itself is enough to have me believe at least most of the story of the others. I will not keep any of you much longer, but there are some questions I would like to have answered such as why there..." His speech fades off, quickly becoming first a buzz, then fading all together as a shimmering light appears over his form. As you watch, the form of a lady in white slowly appears in the center of the light, superimposed over the form of the constable. Her from grows stronger and more defined, and as it does, you can begin to make out her delicate features. She is very slender, to the point of emaciation, yet her face has the glow and look of health. At the most solid she is still translucent, but her presence in the room is palpable. A female voice rings in all of your heads. "So here they are, the predestined ones. Here without knowing why. Here not knowing what lies ahead. Which of them will be the ones that will fall? Which of them will succeed? That, even I cannot see. Yet here they are, the Mountain's Daughter, the Hermit, the Son of the Father, the Forest Friend, the Divided one, the Apprentice, and last but not least, the Balancer. You will all come to know me in the future and I will send my aid to you as I can. Be well and know that you are worthy of the tasks that you choose before you." Her form begins to fade; first going transparent, then disappearing all together. "...but those are all questions that can be answered later. I will say for now that I do believe that there was something completely unexpected happened at the overseer's and at the worksite, and that you, in both cases, probably saved me a lot of trouble of a different kind. In any case, you are all free to go, though I would appreciate it if you find anything more out about the site, the plans of Lord Reevelord, or information on his whereabouts, you would bring them to me. As far as accomodations to clean up, I am afraid we have none. Please, though, finish your eating and then you are free to go." He stands, bows slightly, and heads back into the offices, leaving you alone in the courtyard.
Malchik
Tiemmo stares open mouthed, a half-eaten pastry clearly visible. He turns to Helstar "Who was that? What does she mean 'pre-destined'? And all those names. Was one of them meant to be me?" He glances across to the new group wondering if they might enlighten him.
loveme4whoiam
Erunánion too continues staring at the spot the... visage had appeared. Slowly he looks around at each of his companions. Slowly he looks over at the one called Tiemmo (do we know your names?). "Erm, i suppose those names refer to our characters or our past histories... so i'm probably the Son of the Father, since i carry many memories of my ancestory. I know nothing of your backgrounds," he gestures at the new group, "so i cannot guess as to who is who." He trails off, then shakes his head hard as if to clear it. "Does anyone else think that the constable did not see the lady that appeared before us?" The blank look remains upon his face, the food now forgotten. wesaynothin
"I do not believe the constable saw that." Helstar says, open mouthed and staring at the spot. "You are probably the hermit, Tiemmo. I might be the apprentice. I'm pretty sure about that. Um, so does anyone know who she was?"
Emry
Linden looks around to both groups. "Folks, the constable has given us leave to go. I suggest, since it might raise questions if we stay and discuss things only we have seen, that we find a local tavern and then make our introductions and discuss the vision we just saw. I for one, would like something more substantial than a pastry." She picks up a pastry and takes a bite.
wesaynothin
Helstar looks down at his pastry in amazement, then looks up at the woman who just spoke. "And I believe that this is a great idea. I don't think the guards would much like us sitting around here speaking of things known only in fantasy." He says, and then gets up. He turns to the exit, and starts walking out. Melisande
"So," Portia finally says. "Where is it that we should meet? I am afraid I am new to this city, and am unaware of the local hangouts." She says this while walking with the group, even though she doesn't know where they are going.
Malchik
Tiemmo pockets as many of the pastries as he can and tags along. Is he a hermit, he wonders, not entirely sure what qualities a hermit possesses. Now if the pastries had been a different kind of sweetmeat he would have called himself 'a snapper-up of unconsidered truffles'. The thought makes him laugh, which in turn makes him choke with his mouth full of pastry. Awkwardly, this sprays out all over the backs of Helstar and Portia. He rushes over and dusts them down, very red in the face and apologetic. "Sorry, sorry. When you go without food for long stretches... Oh dear. If you need me to, I'll shoot someone for you. Will that make up for it?" He shuffles nervously from foot to foot, the epitome of an embarrassed teenager.
loveme4whoiam
Erunánion looks at Tiemmo out of the corner of his eye, internally amused but outwardly scowling. He follows Linden and the rest of the group as they head for a local tavern, still wondering what the import of the visions words. He is more than slightly unsettled by what he saw, for he holds little with supernatural thoughts, although he tries hard to remain aloof from such considerations. Peregrine
Alenee watches the scene, thoughts busy wondering who the woman had been. She isn't as suprised as most... one unusual higher being is not that different from another to a mere mortal.... But the words of prophecy are of far more interest. Already she had believed that her purpose here was of interest to the gods, and finally things were becoming a bit clearer. No, she corrected herself, things were far from clear... The sound of Tiemmo choking snaps her out of her quiet thoughts. She looks over at his poor victims, trying hard to keep from laughing. "Yes, I could definitely use some food and a good drink after today... One of you locals know where a good bar is?"
