Emry
Linden looks over to Helstar. "Well, we could look under local legends and folklore, and prophecy in the library. We could also check out the Archangelican Temple on the other side of the square" she muses.
Melisande
"Well, I think we should stay around here. I don't know where Skift is, but it's not in this kingdom." She looks around at the others. "You destroyed Astanth? Who is Astanth, and is he someone who is related to Lord Reevelord? If not, what is the connection between Lord Reevelord and the tomb, and why was he looking for it?" Kethruch
June 05, 1048 0955 The girls come back with some hastily torn strips of cloth, and begin looking around for where to start. "Who needs assistance?" Elsie says, saddened to realize that Orion is not in need of her ministrations. "I think I heard you correctly thinkin' of goin' to Skift?" The tavernkeeper asks. "That's a far ways, ya know. Lessee, as I recall, it's two to four days to Amaranth, and that's about as far as you can go in this kingdom, and Skift is at least ten times that far goin' south. We don't have a great library here, but it's passable, of course, nothin' like the Skift one, but it might do fer yer purposes." "I agree with the lord there, as well," He continues, pointing at Linden. "The temple to the Arcangelicals is a good place too, if ya's wanna find somethin' out, though don't forget the Temple of Pendepheron, either." He sweels his chest somewhat with pride as he says the name 'Pendepheron.' "That's the true religion of Toof, ya' know."
loveme4whoiam
Erunánion listens to the man's advice. "Perhaps we should go to both of those places, and see if we can turn up anything. Skift does indeed sound too far for us to go at present. I think Linden is on to something; we search through books on local religious activity and folklore, to see if anything like what we have witnessed has occurred here before." wesaynothin
Helstar, pinching his face to remember how far away Skift is, starts to speak. "When shall we begin? And what should we be looking up?"
Emry
Linden look over to Helstar. "As to when we should begin, since it is mid morning (assuming Kethruch is using military time in his posts) we can look after we eat and get the blood washed off of us. I doubt that the librarians or archivists would like us to walk in covered in blood. As to what, prophecy and local folklore, history of Astanth, and we should inquire if anyone else was making similar searches." Linden hopes the food and drink will get here soon because she is getting a headache.
Malchik
Tiemmo mutters to himself about being inside all the time. He is used to the open air. The oppressive castle, the low ceilinged tavern. He is beginning to feel claustrophobic. And he has eaten so many pastries he is not sure whether he can face food. "I need a breath of air," he tells them. "I will be back shortly. Don't go anywhere without me." He leaves the tavern and stands in the street just outside, idly watching the activity. He does not expect to see anything unusual. Melisande
"Ummm, pardon my going off on another direction, but, I was going to apply for the job with the overseer because I needed the money. I'm assuming that you did that too. With the overseer gone, who is going to get you your money? Do you think it would be wise for at least some of you to go back to the castle and see if you can perhaps get paid for what you were supposed to? That also might let you snoop around there a little to see if there is anything from there that would help us figure out what went on and what is going on with us." Emry
Linden looks over to Portia. "You've got a good point. We're were supposed to be paid by Reevelord, now he has disappeared. We could go see..... what was his name?..... Beadle.. Warrin Beadle. I don't know if he has the authority to get us paid, but it's a place to get started. So now we have a choice; do we go back to the royal tombs to find Beadle and possibly get paid, go to the Library to research the white lady and her comments, or go to the Temple to do more research?.... Any thoughts?"
Peregrine
Alenee finally walks back to the table, coming from the direction of the kitchen. Some of the dirt has been washed off her face and hands, and the edges of her clothing are still marked by wet spots. A few coins to the cook had bought her a bit of civilization, however slight, and now some of the weariness seems to be gone from her. She arrives just in time to hear Linden's request for opinions. "I say we go get paid. The temple and its books will be around forever. Our payment won't, and neither will we if we can't pay the bills!"
