silvermberg
Hi, I just bought my new laptop 2days ago and try to install the new vegas, It crash after I hit new game, but manage to fix it with some D3D9.dll thing.. I thought it'll be fine afterward, but suddenly it crash after loading when I went out from the Doc's house(for the first time), since it'll autosave in loading there, anytime I continue, it'll always crash.. Anyone experiencing this? Do anyone know how to fix it? Thanx in advance..
bilarion
Have you tried reloading from a previous save or starting a new game? If so, does it crash again when exiting Doc's house?
secksegai
Being a laptop, first thing that comes to mind is if it even meets the minimum system requirements. The majority of retail laptops do not, usually utilizing some integrated graphics chipset. The D3D9 convinces the game you have a high end card effectively, so while the game may start, it may not be stable to begin with. Unless you look for an advanced graphics chipset specifically, you're very likely to not have one. You could type dxdiag in the run box (or whatever they call that section in vista/7) and see what your graphics chipset is unless you're familiar with another way.
