avsrule247
I loaded my completed file up for the first time in months. Maybe a year. I've completed the game as close to 100% as possible, meaning all achievements, bobbleheads, level 30 etc. Also I only have one "file", all my past games on Fallout 3 have been deleted prior to starting and finishing this one. I'm on the 360 by the way. So I load it up and begin walking around. Then it says "Find the source of the radio transmissions". Okay, well pretty sure I already did the Pitt, but maybe on this file I didn't. No matter. Then it says "Investiage the riverboat" now this is really weird because I remember exploring all of that area. Finally the icing on the cake "Broken steel loaded in" but wait a minute, I'm level 30, how can Broken Steel load in when I already finished it? I check my quests. No Broken Steel quests. How could this be? Then I start scrolling and I see that some of the quests I've already finished give me the option to "show location" them and when I click on track it puts the marker on Temple of the Union. There are 3 quests that I've finished and the show location feature all point to the temple of the union. Oh but there's more. Apparently I haven't even discovered the Temple of the Union yet, so I can't even fast travel there. Now I know I completed everything already so it's not like I was loading it up to finish it, therefore I don't really care. I'm just posting because I thought it was the oddest thing ever. Are there records of this happening to anyone else?
bethjunkie
Sounds like you saved the game with the DLC uninstalled and then started your save again with the DLC installed. All of your dlc-related weapons and armor will be gone from your inventory and containers as well.
avsrule247
But I finished the main quest and I was at level 30, how could that be if Broken Steel was uninstalled the last time I saved? I took the console over to a friends house a few weeks ago and loaded up Fallout without being connected to the internet. Is it possible that you need an internet connection to play the DLC? And when I loaded up the game the DLC didn't load it, and it autosaved when I went through a door or whatever? (This is my assumption because I also tried to load in Fable 2 and it wouldn't let me load the save game without connecting to the internet) You're right about the weapons. I don't have any DLC weapons but I have 33 perks.
