I feel that this Mod cannot reach its full potential without Dr. House's sardonic, sarcastic wit lambasting players on their choices within the game. Certainly with enough interest from the community, a figure such as Hugh Laurie would find it a great honor to do voicework for the game.

Most actors are willing to this sort of stuff, IF you pay them.

To get an actor to work "pro bono" as it where, esp a professional actor, then they have to be interested enough in what you're doing to even consider such an offer.

 

But even IF he was interested enough, he still wouldn't because he doesn't, and nore do you, actually own the rights to be involved in such a thing.

 

Welcome to a massive lawsuit waiting to happen.

 

EDIT:On a side note I seem to remember a few years back, Bruce Campbell made an open offer to the modding and machination community, that he would do voice acting for anyone for a fee, you'd send him the stuff you wanted voiced and he'd send you back sound files, on a charge per line basis but not as characters he's played in movies (such as Ash) your own characters.

REALLY? I'm going to need to see some sources on that. It does sound like something he'd do (he was willing to star in The Ice Rink, for God's sake) but all the same, I want to see this for myself. On the off-chance it's legit, oh hell yeah, I'd totally hire Bruce Campbell to do some voice acting for my mods!

The first time I ever saw House was last year. My girlfriend was watching some rerun on TV, and the first thing I said was "Oh my God, it's the Prince of Wales".

Let's admit it's rather unlikely, but instead of a petition i would try writing him a kind letter and see if he would even answer. I can really imagine he got better stuff to do and I'm not sure he's a gamer.
