MidbossVyers
I was in a dungeon with a mage apprentice ally. She seemed low on health, so I "shot" a custom healing spell at her. The apprentice screamed "Assault" and attacked me, and I had to yield. Does the game not know the difference between healing and damaging "on target" spells? WastelandAssassin
i had several problems like thissometimes my charm spells are considered as assaults on my targets, and i have no idea why this is just some problem of the game, i guess
majikmonkee
Weird. I have a ranged healing spell I made and nobody takes offense to. It. I made a healing spell that adds shock damage less than the amount it heals, but it's considered a healing spell, how weird is that?
Megatarius
The spell you shot was probably considered hostile. This is a check-box in the CS, if you didn't know. What spell was it, and what mod was it from?
MidbossVyers
Scarlet Blessing, a healing-on-target spell created from the Spell-making Altar, but otherwise vanilla. Edited November 30, 2010 by MidbossVyers
Megatarius
Well, I'm tempted to say "It's Bethesda  ". I don't know the scripts for the Altar, but it doesn't surprise me that it might be something stupid like "all target spells are hostile because most people would just make fireballs anyway, so hurry up people, the 360 release is only a week away!!!!!" Balakirev
Does this happen all the time with that spell in dungeons? Or did it just happen during this one session, with that one spell? I had one playing session where for some unknown reason, a "like me better" spell I'd created and typically used on merchants was perceived as an attack. I wasn't in attack mode, but on three successive merchants, it was seen as such. Exited, reloaded, no problems. Try that healing spell on your companion out of battle, and try it again in battle in another location. See what happens.
