Keanumoreira
M'kay Nexus, I got fifteen questions here I bet no one can finish. Don't even think about using the internet to help you, because unless you know your stuff, or are just plain lucky (Or a cheater :pirate: ) there are some questions here that you won't figure out anytime soon. Think you can solve them all with just your brain and formal (Or ongoing) education? I bet you can't. 1. The Arabians invented what fundamental system? 2. What diamond shaped Island charges you one thousand dollars for chewing gum? 3. During the 1800's, what two foods where not available to the poor in common supply? (Vegetables, bread, and fruits don't count) 4. What was the world’s cleanest city during the 16th century that rivaled even those in Europe before it was destroyed? 5. What were the houses that the British built in Singapore? 6. What island people won't become a state because of taxes? 7. What famous city in the Americas was deprived of being a national capital? 8. During the Midpoint of the first millennium, what group of people was expelled from Rome, only to return a year later? 9. What alcohol is made from sugarcane? 10. What star is so massive, that the Earth isn't even the size of the tip of a pinhead in comparison? 11. What is the closest Brown Dwarf from our own star? 12. The Sol system is also known as what? 13. What protein in the human body, needed for life, is shaped like a cross? 14. The breaking of the fast is also known as what? 15. The process of aging slower, by traveling faster at any given measure of time, is known as what theory?
TheSwedishPancake
I can only answer the last one: the Theory of Relativity. I fail. :(
Keanumoreira
I can only answer the last one: the Theory of Relativity. I fail. :( Nope, wrong. It's related to the Theory of Relativity, but not the answer. Don't worry though, it wasn't meant to be finished by anyone. However, I'm sure a genious will stumble in and prove me wrong. >_>
Genzel
I'll give it my best shot! 1. Algebra2.3. Sugar, 4.5.6. Puerto Rico7. You mean in North or South America? or are you meaning America alone. Rio De Janeiro 8.9. Rum10. Betelgeuse11.12.13.14. Breakfast15.

I wonder... do you know the answers? ;) But, anyway, I have a question for you. What's a line? :P
AliasTheory
But, anyway, I have a question for you. What's a line? :PWhat kind of line? Geometrically, any one dimensional segment that has no width. It can also extend indefinitely. I know about the last one but I don't remember the name. I have a book at hand by Hawking about it, but anyway. Number 10 for me is Betelgeuse, which is a red supergiant. Frankly though, anyone can make an impossible test. With enough research and our friend the Internet I'm sure we can find all the answers. But what good is that? For me, readily knowing these accomplishes nothing worthwhile. TheSwedishPancake
Alias, I'm very impressed. The key word in your definition was "can" when you mentioned a line's potential to have infinite length. It's rare that I ever find anyone who can even come close to the correct definition of a line. I like to keep it simple and say that a line is "breadthless length," which I think is what you were saying. Be proud of yourself. Also, to what book are you referring? Hawking is an interesting guy. ub3rman123
Okay.. My best guesses. Some of them I know outright, and the rest are random ideas because I'm more likely to get it right with a guess than leaving it blank. 1. Basic math2. Trinidad3. Caviar and lobster4. Timbuktu5. Parliament?6. Guam7. Quebec8. Christians9. Cane alcohol10. Blue Supergiant11. Andromeda (Definitely wrong)12. The Milky Way (Yes, that's our galaxy, not the solar system)13. Glycogen14. Rosh Hashana (Probably wrong and misspelled)15. Quantum Theory (Wrong, but my other guess got shot down.)

Well, thanks. :) It's so much better when I can actually see a nice, simple line for an equation graph. The theoretical stuff sometimes gets a bit crazy in my academics in the sense that it isn't that useful to my goals. I personally have no use of calculating the exact state of something in the 275th dimension. There is "A Brief History of Time" but also "A Briefer History of Time." I own the shortened version (which also has more stuff because it was made later,) but the binding got messed up and all the pages are falling apart. :( And if I had to guess on 15, it would be the String Theory, which I believe is also a likely contender for the spot of a unified universal equation. I'm probably wrong.
