ultimate dlc without going online?

I recently saw Dragon age ultimate edition for 35$ and finally bought it. I'd heard about the DRM on the DLC that makes you have to go online to "activate" it. This is a problem because I'm going to be playing on a computer without an internet connection, and besides, I don't want to register or sign-up for anything. Has any one found a way around this since the DLC is supposed to be on the disk?

Also, I've never played dragon age so before I break the shrink-wrap, is the ultimate edition worth the 35$ without the DLC?

Ok, first off... ANY of the DLC material... you have to go online to authorize it. Regardless of whether or not it comes from the Ultimate Edition (UE) or whether you download it straight from Bioware thru the game.

So if you're not able to put the machine online, and don't mind being without the DLC's, and can find the vanilla game for cheaper, and dont want awakening, then yeah... go with the cheaper.

Sorry, Spin_Doc. No way around REGISTERING at least once to "activate" the DLC.

Yes, it is all on the discs in the UE, but it'll show up as "Unauthorized" on the menu and you won't be able to play anything but the base DA:O campaign (and maybe DA:A, I'm not sure about that) until you go through the activation steps.

The good news is that after you've gone through that process one time, you never have to do it again. Your rig can be disconnected from the outside world forever, and everything you paid for will work just fine.

As far as "worth it" goes, US$35 is a GREAT price for the UE! So open the shrink-wrap, register with EA, and install the best Swords-n-Sorcery CRPG to come out in a long, long time!
