Steam loader hanging

So I went to open my NV game recently after a brief hiatus of a few weeks and now whenever I use FOMM to launch the game it opens the tiny steam preparing to launch New Vegas and just hangs there. Doesn't crash or anything it just hangs there doing nothing, as far as I can tell, until I cancel out of it. I haven't done anything new that I can tell. I tried replacing the necessary files for archiveinvalidation because I heard there was a new patch.

 

My mod list and load order is as follows. Although I disable all but the main esm files and it still does the same thing.

I know the mod order might be frankensteined to all hell, but it used to work.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Are you attached to the Internet when you try to launch the game? My experience is that, even if I tell Steam that I want to be in off-line mode, it still wants to update itself and it'll wait longer than I wish to wait for a connection to appear.

As far as I know I'm attached. I am not sure how to tell Steam that I want to be in offline mode.

I've been playing in "offline mode" while connected and disconnected to/from internet

 

and occasionally playing in online mode

 

none of these has caused hang

Well I figured out how to disable autoupdates and removed myself from the steam cloud and it works just fine now. Thanks for the replies.
