Abbezegabbezega
I don't know if you heard about the new game from Valve, Portal but it would be cool if something similar would be possibble in Oblivion.Maybe a movie would make it clear what I mean:
WarKirby3333
Wow. I am truly blown away. What a concept. It's originality+incredible graphics. Normally those mix like oil and water. ie not. Doing it in oblivion though. Theoretically it might be possible to summon doors, but they have to be activated to pass through, so you wouldn't get anywhere near the complexity of that video. But it is an incredible concept for a mod. And for a full game. I'm gonna track this one WarKirby *heads to gamespot*
Povuholo
It is unlikely that you will be able to throw items through the portal, or look through them. But it *should* be possible to make two doors you can go through. You will have to activate them though. Or maybe not. With the Immersive Caves mod you can walk into a dark area, and get teleported somewhere. I don't know exactly how he did it, but I think he used a trigger box. When the player triggers it, he gets teleported somewhere. It would probably be more difficult for doors you have to "summon". If a mod like this will be made, it will probably be a spell. I vote for the Mysticism skill. Or maybe Alteration. But let's not think about that yet, since I don't know how to pull it of and it sounds quite complicated. GBHis
Hey, WK! I thought we agreed that I answered scripting questions..? :) I haven't seen the video (school banned YouTube), but it sounds possible. There won't be any looking through doors, though. You can do many tricks, Povulho. It sounds like the author used a [getdistance player && getangle player] running in a gamemode block?

I vote Conjuration, the practice of moving an object or creature from one place to another. Has anyone tried using script to move a trigger? Considering that it has a reference, just like a door or item it might just be doable. Then all you need is to target the spell to summon a door elsewhere. If you set it up to do them in a specific order it shouldn't be hard. First place one, set a flag, then do the other and unset the flag. Alternatively you could just choose the target and teleport to it. You'd never get the real world impression of seeing through the portal though. That requires binding another pov within an area of the first and I don't think the engine can support that.
WarKirby3333
Being able to see through the portal is a minor detail. As long as the portal has some visible prescence and you can walk and throw stuff through it, it would be great. WarKirby
