My general fighting strategy is to get the biggest shield I can find and hide behind it, then jab at you repeatably. Hey it worked for the Romans. Occasionally I manage to knock people over with a swing to the head, then I stab them to death on the ground. If theyre a caster I tend to rush them pell-mell and kill them as quikcly as possible, axemen ill thrust and jump back from.

Personally, I prefer the same method that has been mentioned a few times already. Once your enemy is on the ground, a good chop is the way to go. :D

However, this also depends on the type of weapon I am using. Obviously with an axe or a hammer, the thrust sucks. Whereas, with a sword or a spear, it can be very effective. Luckily, I prefer swords, so I just chop away!

I have loads of armour and hit points so I go for satnd there and let them hit you while hitting them. Favour chop with long swords, thrust with short swords and bashing with skull crusher (very cool). Also use a ranged weapon at distance. They usually die in two/three hits max

Personally, I like sneaking up quietly so he doesn't know you're there, then a quick slice across the throat.....Oh, right, you're talking about in Morrowind, sorry. ;)

P.S. In the game, any way that works.

How do you run away quite fast at level one? All I can do is walk a little faster than, as someone said elsewhere, a stunned snail. Maybe you use spells, potions and fortifying rings but how do you get enough of them at that low a level?

You wouldn't be - er - cheating - would you?
