kevorkiandoctor
I'm new to Fall out Nods, did most my modding on Skyrim. So I noticed when downloading Fall Out Mods a lot of them say I need to use a special Fall Out Mod organizer for use and download. Is there a reason I can't use the Nexus mod manager? MotoSxorpio
Fallout Mod Manager, aka FOMM. Get it here: http://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/36901/?
kevorkiandoctor
I'm more curious why do I need it?
Fallout2AM
FOMM allows to include inside a FOMOD package a specific script to make a custom installation - think to mods which have variants and options for example, like a texture, more shiny, more glossy, etc.etc. in cases like these FOMM will show you specific instructions and allows you to make choices in an easy way. It's exactly what already happens in Skyrim (think to archives with a lot of patches, like XP skeleton) However a FOMOD can be simply extracted with 7zip, so if you know how to make a manual installation, you don't need FOMM. But... I don't know if NMM can read FOMM scripts correctly Edited March 31, 2015 by Fallout2AM
