MRLoki Posted April 2, 2015 Share Posted April 2, 2015 Let me explain and make my point really quickly here. this game is awesome but it's made so that the level cap is 12 and it takes nearly forever to level. Sure that is part of the experience of the game and especially a D&D ish low level kind of experience. BUT I do love getting to high level and all kind of stuff that comes with it. My mod request is kind of a 3 part mods First, making the level cap higher, so that we could reach levels like 30, maybe 50 or 60 as level cap. Second, changing buffs we get every level so that we do get stronger (probably a lot stronger than vanilla) but don't get crazy OP out of the bat, like, reducing the stats bonus you get every level but keep the skills/abilities/talents gain each level. Third, making sure it's not simply impossible to level due to huge xp progression needed, like either reducing xp needed each level and buffing combat xp or maybe a xp multiplier. The idea would be making it so we can reach cap by endgame and not finish the game lvl 12 Now, why do I believe that a lot of people want this mod - This game has a lot of classes and combos and everything that we want to try, and it's quite nice to make a lot of characters, but the experience does change a lot after the first play, having a mod that alters the leveling progression so much will be a quite nice refresh to a second or third playthrough... plus it helps more casual players with higher dificulties Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
StrongNoer Posted April 7, 2015 Share Posted April 7, 2015 Every level brings you some additional skills and possibilites why would you need level 50 if you have a lot of spells/encounter abilities already on level 10+?I dont think it would be easy to mod something like this - it is very hard to scale abililites (not from programming point of view but from statistical point of view - you need to simulate and check the outcome if you want to be sure that you are heading in right direction, you dont just simply say: lvl 1 - dmg 12-24 lvl 3-dmg*150% lvl n - dmg * 150%^(n/2 - 1) or similar) .on the other side - i think its possible to make for example exp for every monster in such a way that the journal would be upgraded in 1/100% per each kill (so you would gain exp untill you killed 100 similar monsters or could be expanded further) Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
