Hi everybody, I'm having issues with the hand textures being missing from a custom race mod I'm working on. The problem is that the textures are there and are linked up and everything. It seems that this issue has been seen before, but not ever really solved. The weird part is that the issue only occurs when the actual playable character uses the race and it only occurs on the hands, all the other custom textures work. I've created NPCs that use the exact same races and custom textures, but they work fine on them, it just seems to be the PC that experiences the problem, I'm wondering if someone can help me out with this, it would be greatly appreciated!

Also want to add that I have tried toggling Archive Invalidation on and off

IF the textures are appearing pink, make sure you have the _sk file for the hands as well.

The textures are pink and I do have the file, but how do I make sure it is linked to texture and or nif model? Would I have to do it through nif scope?

Yeah, the diffuse, normal and _sk have to be all linked to the mesh in Nifskope through the BSShaderTextureSet.

been messing around in geck and basically it will do this with any texture that isn't that base one. Maybe its because Breeze's is trying to replace them or something?

1st person hands use different meshes and textures then 3rd person.

 

3rd person texture: handmale.dds, handmale_n.dds, handmale_sk.dds

 

1st person textures: handmale_1st.dds, handmale_1st_n.dds, handmale_1st_sk.dds

 

Make sure they are all set up correctly, and that the custom race is pointing to the right textures.

hmm...Its messed up in both 3rd and 1st person, but now that I'm thinking about it, I do have enhanced camera installed and maybe that changes it..

Which texture should I link to custom race, and how does it differentiate between first and third person in the geck?
