Not sure if this is the ideal place to put this, but here goes.

I have been playing minecraft awhile, and although I don't play online, I have been doing something with the game a lot of modders might find interesting. With the tools found here: http://www.patrickmin.com/minecraft/

You can either use one of the programs to build it by hand, or import the model directly into your game world with MCEdit. You can convert a 3D model from blender and put it in the game like this:

I haven't tried anything but guns, but you could model say, a detailed house, and put it in Minecraft with MCEdit or just use viewvox to view the model layer by layer to build by hand.

 

You can see how large and detailed the model can actually look. One of the magnums was I think 256 blocks tall, the other was either 64 or 32. I can make a tutorial if you want. With the newest version of blender you will have to install some scripts, and the voxelization software uses command line, so it might be a bit confusing.

 

Anyway, it's really fun, and a lot of modders here have the skill to make some AWESOME models to put in minecraft.

This just a notice for the admins, I am having trouble with my isp so if my buildings seem to have stall that is only due to internet promblems, My internet at the moment is all over the place with download/upload speed and attempting to play minecraft at the moment seems to problematic

Oh, that was yours? Sorry. :P You were building very close to Alonso's place. The structure was unfinished and kind of getting in the way, we figured it was built by someone who came on once and would never come back.

 

If you leave a sign saying it's yours next time, we'll know not to touch it. ;)

Decided if I'm going to have a look at minecraft multiplaying I might as well see what you guys are up too. It would seem minecraft multiplayer is a terribly confusing place for me haha.

So I just picked up minecraft.

 

I tried a singleplayer game and punched some trees before night time came and a green dude blew me up.....

 

I got really nostalgic for morrowind for some reason...

 

I may head over to your game if you all would allow!
