To Reylas:

The officer gives you a look of disappointment, but then the thought of what the consequences of not letting you out of your suffering would be changes his mind. "Ok, but get back quickly. There's a lot of Legion soldiers that need their rule books. We'd hate to keep them waiting, right? And you'd hate to miss your pay!" Once outside, your escort has disappeared. Other than voices coming from a few of the other rooms, nobody else seems to be around.

Reylas frowns. Things all of a sudden seemed to be going his way. In a strange way, that meant that he should be extra secure that no one is setting him up. Walking to the east side of the garrison, Reylas sticks his head out a moment, gulping up the fresh outside air like he said he would, then letting the sunlight glint off his ring as he stretches. Reylas waits a few seconds longer until he is sure that the plan is being enacted.

To Jouko:

Your arrow pierces the glass, resulting in less than impressive damage. No doubt due to the extra thickness used in the fortress. Your other arrow, however, has far more effect. It hits the ground right in front of a group of eight guards walking by on patrol. The leader yells something to the others, then all eight draw their weapons and advance towards you. The front four carry long swords and shields and spread out to provide cover for the four longbow archers behind them. The archers release their first shots, and three arrows strike the ground near you. The fourth hits at a bad angle and bounces off your armor leaving only a long scratch in the surface.

To Jouko:

The guards, advancing in a much more controlled manner, fire again. This time, they have time to aim more carefully, and all four arrows hit their target. One hits your shoulder at a low angle and bounces off like the first. The second and third arrows hit you in the back. At this close range, the guard's longbows have more than enough power to penetrate your armor. Two heavy war arrows stab deep into your chest, one of them continuing on so far that its point comes out the front of your armor. The third arrow is low, by luck or by intent, and slices into your left leg, causing you to trip slightly. Each additional step or movement brings extreme pain. But forunately for you, pain is all that your injuries are causing you for now, all three arrows seem to have missed any critical organs.

To Jouko:

You don't see the effects of your conterattack, but from the new pain of two more arrows piercing your armor, one in the right arm, one in the chest, it apparently didn't have much effect. As you continue running, much slower because of the damage to your leg, the archers fire again. Another arrow hits your leg, finally cutting something important, and you fall to the ground. In a strange bit of luck, your fall takes you out of the path of the other three arrows, and the only one that hits you fails to penetrate. As you lie on the ground, the archers hold their fire. You hear the footsteps of the approaching guards, and a shouted order for a healer. A healer that you will most likely need, as even if you could escape any more damage, you are very weak from your wounds, and any significant effort would probably mean your death.

OOC: Correct me if i'm wrong here

Just as he walks out, the strange man fires an arrow and a near by patrol. They begin chasing him. Akkli sighs and thinks of the brave soul lost to idiousy. THen looks at the fort. Perhaps now would eb a good time to attept a theft. Akkli's practiced eyes search teh fortess for and entry way, that wouldn'y expos him to the guards.

To Akkli:

Not suprisingly, you don't see any obvious way in. New guards are appearing from various doors as news of the fight spreads. The guards take positions on the walls, arrows drawn and aimed down searching for any threat. You do, however, see Reylas standing in a doorway, but the guards coming out the door make it impossible to get to him without fighting your way through.

To Reylas:

As you observe the events outside, a pair of guards push past you and out the door. They draw weapons and position themselves just outside the door, ready to intercept any attack headed your direction. When nothing appears immediately, one turns back to you. "Excuse me, you'll need to get back inside. Basic security rules, its for your own safety."
