Habassa: The RPG

To Shadow:

As you walk over to the captain, a vise like hand grabs your shoulder and spins you around to face the guard leader. "Where do you think you're going? I wasn't finished with you. What kind of game do you think you're playing here? Do you seriously expect me to believe that these two have anything to do with the attack?" You notice that the pair you picked appear to be an older couple, late 60s at minimum. And are clearly unarmed. As is everyone else in the boat, except for you and the weapons you know Reylas probably is carrying. "Alright, you've wasted enough of my time. Off to jail with you. Maybe a few weeks there will teach you the value of staying home when you're drunk." The sword point pressing into your back suggests that you should follow the guards up the stairs.

To Reylas:

You see Shadow and the guards having some kind of conversation, though you can't hear what they are saying. The guard drags him down off the ladder, says something, then begins escorting him off the boat.

To Akkli:

As you approach the docks, you notice a few more guards than usual, and some yelling about searches and travel delays. Nobody pays any attention to you as you arrive.

To Ald Velothi Party:

As you head out of town, the daedric ruins come into view through the fog. As you approach, an unusual silence is very noticable. Oddly for a daedric ruin, no living creature can be seen anywhere. The fog seems to thicken a bit, and the temperature drops a bit, the cold arua of fear.

Aeden moves out from around the tree but leaves her bow nocked (but pointing down) and she surveys the countryside once again.

"Aye, I do. There's an ill wind blowing and the stink of evil grows as we get closer to those ruins. Hopefully we'll find out what happened to Alenee - for good or for ill -and be gone from this place soon. I do not like this place."

After a moment's thought, she looks over to Corithalion and continues, "I think that we're getting caught up in things greater than we can imagine, but I also believe that we have no small part to play in the unfolding of this story. Who knows? What we do here may be like the snowflake that starts the avalanche."

Shadow quickly draws a dagger with some sort of poison dripping off it. He whips it up and drives it into the captains throat then shouts to Reylas "Get %#$@ up here and help me! Reylas I know your down there now come and help me!"

OOC: Im dead arent I?

<ooc: Can't you ever stop causing trouble? First, you do not assume that you successfully attack. That is my job. Second, you do not just create items out of nowhere like that. I have your character stats and you never said anything about a poison dagger. And yes, you are very dead. And unless I get a very good reason to resurrect you, you will stay that way.>

To Shadow:

Your hand bounces uselessly off the guard's armor as the dagger you thought you had is revealed to be merely a product of your imagination. As you yell for help, the guard is frozen briefly, unable to decide whether to kill you or laugh at you. Finally, he gives you a look of complete contempt. "I've had more than enough of you! Better hope your gods are in a better mood than I am!" He grabs you by the neck and shoves you out the hatch, sending you sliding across the deck. As he walks up after you, he draws his sword, bringing it back for a chop at your head. As you lie there helplessly you hear laughter coming from behind you, and notice the other guards hurrying to watch you die. The leader brings his sword down into your neck, and as your head flies off your shoulders your mind somehow continues to work. You bounce across the deck, stoping when you hit the wall. Your hearing works barely well enough for you to hear one guard's words. "Hey, give me that mace over there." Suddenly you are tossed into the air, and the mace slams into the back of your head. As you fly out over the water, the cheers of the guards are your last memory as you leave this world.

To Reylas:

Before you can respond to Shadow's demand, he is shoved up through the hatch and out of sight. From what you hear, the results are not good for your former ally. Eventually, two of the guards return. You catch a bit of conversation between them as they walk down. "That was pretty fun! You know, if I made a game out of that, I bet I could get a lot of money out of it..." One of them taps his sword on the wall to get your attention. "Sorry about that mess. Just a little local trouble, nothing to be worried about. You're on your way out now." The guards walk back up and out of sight, and his words are soon proved true. The slight motion of the boat tells you that you are finally on your way.

To To Akkli:

You have an excellent view of Shadow's death. Once the head lands in the water, the guards split up and begin yelling to the other boat captains. From what you can hear, the search is ended and everyone is free to leave. The guard you were talking to finally answers. "Some trouble back in town. Guy tried to sneak out by boat. But looks like the problem's dealt with now." He points to a boat just barely starting to move away from the dock. "Hey, that's the boat to Vivec. If that's where you're going, you'd better hurry!"
