More Legion Depth?

So far I'm finding the legion to be rather underwhelming to play with. The Legion Overhaul mod doesn't really do enough in this regard, either.

 

Some stuff I'd generally like to see:

 

 

1. Centurions existing. Not just two outside of the endgame. But random, unnamed centurions leading patrols around the mjave. Several of them hanging around the fort.

 

2. More scaling in legion armaments. The Machete is a fine weapon for recruits, but there's also the Gladius Machete, which would be a fine weapon if it weren't so rare. I'd like to see it made far more widely available. IE, being used by all legion troops above recruit level (veteran, decanus, etc). Perhaps a farther gladius type of weapon based on this mod: http://www.newvegasn...le.php?id=37093

 

3. More availability of legion armour. You should recieve some free recruit armor just for agreeing to an audience with caesar. And additional levels of legion armour should be given as quest rewards for him (veteran, vexillarius, praetorian, centurion), ultimately culminating in a suit of the same armour the Legate wears (which should have stats equivilant with power armour)

 

4. More trust from Caesar. The restriction of not being allowed to wear weapons inside The Fort should be lifted as soon as you reach Accepted status with the legion. and quest rep rewards should be adjusted so you reach at least that status for destroying the bunker under the weather station

 

5. Eventuially some way to join the praetorian guard, via the method caesar describes - challenging one of the existing members and defeating them in single combat. The Legate should be an option here, though suitably difficult.

 

6. More slaves around the legion camp, and their other territories around the mojave

 

7. The Legion Blacksmith should do something. he should sell various legion oriented supplies like machetes, legion armour, and fist type weapons, as well as being able to repair things for you. The legion player needs a merchant too!
