WastelandAssassin
have you never opened zip\rar\7zip files??if you haven't, you need a program like WinZip or WinRar if you think about getting mods, the first thing you should get is FOMM (the mod manager)through it, you will be able to install mods (if you want to use the fomod option) and activate the game with the modsyou will also have to get NVSE if you plan on launching the game through FOMM (just google NVSE, it's the first link) this page should be sufficient instructions on how to proceed from there :) i hope it helpsand if you have any questions, you are welcome to ask, and i'll try to answer
WarKirby3333
Oh wow, a first post "how do I use mods" You need to find your data directory, first of all. On most computers this will be C:\Program Files\Steam\steamapps\common\fallout new vegas\DataIf you don't know what that means, then I'm not sure how to help you. For the most part, all mods should be copied and pasted into that directory. Then use the fallout mod manager to launch the game. This can be found here: http://www.newvegasnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=36901it gives a checklist of mods you have installed, which you can tick. Modding fallout is very unintuitive, sadly. But the good news is, once you get the hang of it, you can apply most of the same skills to modding Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion and vanilla Fallout
