OriginalPhee
Hello all! Many of you know about the mod called "Real Time Settler - New Vegas" or perhaps "Wasteland Defense". If you have, you'll know that the NCRCF (New California Republic Correctional Facility) is an excellent place to build. Mainly for the navmeshed towers and walls. I'm not the smartest tool in the G.E.C.K shed, so I have no clue how to do this. So if any of you have some spare time, post on this thread or message me personally. I'd love to see a few mods to clean up all the junk lying around the NCR Correctional Facility. Much appreciated, OriginalPhee
Mavkiel
Junk cleanup is simple, even if you want to get fancy and only disable at certain stages of the vanilla quests. You turn one of the junk items into a persistent ref, and tag all the items you want with that item as its parent. Then all you do is modify the quest you want the magic to happen with a disable command for that persistent reference. All those junk items will then disappear. I did something similar for http://www.newvegasnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=36815 If you are against modifying the quest itself, you can place a trigger event. ie player walks around an area and game notices and script fires. In the mod I linked, that's what I did, I initiated a countdown to remove everything I disliked. (Didn't want items to disappear in-front of me) As for building new things, not sure how rts sets up a village, not tried the mod yet, and there is also wasteland defense. I'd hope between the two of them one would work decently for adding in defenses and etc :P
OriginalPhee
Turns out within me contained the knowledge to left click and delete while in the render window. I figured it out, and cleaned up almost all of the trash in the NCRCF. I won't have to worry about any complications because the junk doesn't actually affect anything. Mavkiel
I thought deleting things in render mode was bad mojo? Wasn't that what caused the pitt to ctd until they patched it? Or have they made deleting safer in in vegas? Edited December 9, 2010 by Mavkiel
