Tiberiu911
Now that I think of it, KoTN will have about 20 hours of gameplay right? Think of it. 20 hours. Thats an average today game. Dark Messiah has about 12-15 hours of gameplay. 20 hours for 9.99$ . Your average game costs about 50-60$. Im not judging quality. Im judging quantity. Lets just hope its not full of crap. Quality Quantity contnet. November is at our doorstep. Only a review will tell the tale...
Marxist ßastard
Thats their JOB, they get paid to do it. They don't get paid to do nothing, and they don't do anything without pay.I think they could've included the horse armor in the game though, instead of making a 1.99 plugin out of it...The horse armor was completed before the game was pressed to gold master. They deliberately excluded it for two reasons:It was of substantially lower quality than the rest of Oblivion's content (and by the way, that bar was already set pretty low). They wanted to charge substantially more for it, relative to how much content is actually there. Was it conflicting with the lore or something?Yes. KoTN will have about 20 hours of gameplay right?Give or take fifteen hours.
Sypron
They pushed the release date back to the 4th of december. Just thought i'd let you all know. Something odd is happening. I'm seeing screenshots of the mod on websites. Screenshots taken by players. Is the mod out in America or something? Cause i'm from Australia. EDIT: No double posting. - Switch

Switch
Sypron's post split. You know better than to further derail a thread when it's already going off-topic... But he did make me realise, this has gone a bit off-topic. Can we steer things back in the right direction please? :P
Guest Tessera
Can we steer things back in the right direction please? :P I'll give it a whirl... PC games that are ported to cheesy, plastic game consoles invariably suffer from the translation... and aren't good. Discuss. EDIT to add: hmmm... that may not have been -quite- the sort of response that Switch was looking for. Feel free to delete this post... LOL. :P EDIT: Maybe I'll just remove that description... I am permanently scarred now. :P - Switch
Dilvish
Glad you modified that post some. I think everyone should be welcome here, even if they are a console gamer.
Guest Tessera
Glad you modified that post some. I think everyone should be welcome here, even if they are a console gamer. Of course they're welcomed here. That doesn't mean we can't express our opinions about different platforms, does it..? :) And actually, I'm not really bashing the consoles as much as I'm bashing PC games that are ported to those consoles. Something is always lost in the translation... on BOTH sides of the fence. The PC version suffers and so does the console version. Both versions of Oblivion show many signs of the compromises that were made, in order to squeeze what should have been an immense game into a little plastic box on the floor. This shortcoming is no doubt the reason we see many players expressing a preference for Morrowind over Oblivion: mainly, Morrowind is "bigger" and has significantly more RPG depth. Oblivion is so overloaded with yummy graphics and voice acting files that there was very little room leftover... not if they wanted to squeeze the whole mess onto a disk that the consoles could handle. PS - awwww... Switch edited out my graphical description in my previous post. :P
Abramul
From what I've seen, the most important thing that's left out when porting to consoles is...the console. Debug ability GOOD!
Sypron
I agree with Tessera, Bethesda spent to much time making everything pretty, and not enough time making stupid amounts of npcs, cities, armors and architextures.
