cryocry
When I was at Cloud Ruler Temple doing the main quest (for the tenth time!), I notice some battlements in the distance. Eager to see if they were Frostcrag Spire's (Oh, lord for bid, I have an official pluggin!) steps (not a far distance to walk!), I TCLed over there (oh, I'm a noob, too!). But, what I found was different. It was steps leading up to an alter sort of thing with a chest on top of it. I thought something fantastic was in the chest, but when I opened it, all I found was three gold, a lock pick, and a silver pitcher. I was just wondering if this was an important (remove the R!) chest that something great was supposed to be in, but got screwed up by the realistic loot mod, or if it was just there just to be there. I want to know! To the moderators: I also put this in spoilers because someone might want to find it themselves, and it might hold something great in vanilla Oblivion. Dilvish
I found it too playing without any mods that would change loot. All that was in the chest was a silver pitcher. I left the pitcher there. I've been thinking the chest may be used in a quest that I haven't done yet.I was all excited like you when I found that chest. I should look in the guide to see what it's all about (maps section). (two-five hours later)Nope, no mention of it in the map, so it must not relate to anything. Or, maybe... Dilvish, do you have Frostcrag Spire?
Rhydderch Hael
Well, why does the locked chest associated with Fort Coldcorn contain nothing better than a mundane dagger? Because the game programmers are nuts, that's why.
Malchik
Well, why does the locked chest associated with Fort Coldcorn contain nothing better than a mundane dagger? Because the game programmers are nuts, that's why. Can't be. There is nothing on the outside of the box which says 'Warning, this product may contain traces of nuts'! The note in the FC 'treasure' chest (the one the sword points to) is said to be an 'easter egg'. There are others associated with other forts, equally as silly. Dilvish
... Or, maybe... Dilvish, do you have Frostcrag Spire? Frostcrag Spire is a mod? I don't have it.
cryocry
... Or, maybe... Dilvish, do you have Frostcrag Spire? Frostcrag Spire is a mod? I don't have it. Get it here for $1.89. There's also a mod on here with all the official mods up to Mehrunes Razor, but I won't put the link in because it's illegal.
Guest Tessera
At first, I thought maybe you were talking about the Circlet of Omnipotence (really nice ring) mini-side-quest... but then I remembered that you find that one in Pale Pass. I think what you found is just another random bit of junk that they added for kicks.
Darth Tempo
Yeah, ive had free time on my hands, had a quide to the game, and went through and completed every non-mod quest(Including main)In the game, including easter eggs, and ive never seen a use for that chest. Except that i put stolen loot in it(50+ items)
