SecretStash
I've downloaded and installed the latest FONV, legally, via Steam. Played it a bit.Downloaded and installed FOMM - the NV edition via the nexus. Used it. invalidated my archive etc.downloaded several mods, some manual, some FOMM, installed all and played a bit. Still no problems.Wanted to use some of the NVSE mods so I downloaded the latest NVSE version.I copied the dll's, the exe, and the src folder as per the installation instructions.I checked the "in-game" tab in my steam options.I launched FOMM and clicked "Launch NVSE" I get a steam box saying "Steam - Error: This game is currently unavailable. Please try again at another time." - WTF?I tried launching from steam and get same error.I tried launching via FOMM without NVSE (just NV) and get 1st loading screen and then CTD.I tried removing the src folder (since that is just for 'modders' anyway), retried all above steps with same problem.I tried removing all NVSE materials and attempting to start my game via any method results in 1st loading screen and then CTD. I tried opening my fallout_default.ini and renaming the Fallout - AI!.bsa to Fallout - ArchiveInvalidation.bsa, and then renaming the actual Fallout - AI!.bsa to match.Still no fix. I'm at a loss here and about to totally uninstall everything if there isn't something simple I'm missing. I'm really hoping that it is just my own incompetence though. and that I overlooked something that has caused this and I don't have to spend hours reinstalling everything. Please help. you wise forum masters. Fonger
did you activate the steam community option (as indicated on the NVSE page)

Draco856
Make sure you have ALL the NVSE files: nvse_1_1.dllnvse_editor_1_1.dllnvse_loader.exenvse_steam_loader.dll
SecretStash
I've got all the files. I'll try the beta DL and get back to you. Update: Version 1_beta3 says: "You have an unknown version of fallout. Please make sure you're using the latest version of NVSE" so I'm guessing that the versions of my NV or NVSE were not the problem. SecretStash
the same one with the game exe and launcher, not the data folder.
Draco856
I think he means is it "C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\fallout new vegas" or someplace else, cause if it's someplace else, that could be your problem. Also, it may not be NVSE itself either, check your mods in FOMM, and check their masters. If you are missing one that could be the problem. SecretStash
I did nothing to the mods, all of which were working prior to installing NVSE. I did try removing all mods though and just getting NV, FOMM, and/or NVSE to run. Still no luck.
Draco856
Try validating your files with steam, maybe something was corrupted, I can't really think of anything else that could be wrong.
