Abramul
The only problem that should be noted when occupying a house is contamination. Here's what this means. You go to a vendor, and sneak upstairs and steal some of his stuff. You go back down, and try selling it to him. He recognizes it as his, yells at you, and probably calls the guards. Fine. Now, instead of trying to sell the stuff to its original owner, you head to another shop and sell it there. Sounds good so far... Months later, you return with a load of loot from some dungeon. You head for the first vendor's shop, and try selling it to him. He calls the guards! Every item type has a list of owners, who are NEVER removed. While this wouldn't normally be a problem if you occupy a dead person's house, this list is ALSO used to determine stolen goods, and therefore, if you are arrested, that Ebony Cuirass you stored in a crate in your house will be considered stolen! Not sure if stolen goods are confiscated if you just pay the fine, though...
Kevin Woodman
It's been a while since i played on xbox, but i used Nerano Manor ? i think it was, in Balmora, one of the quests you have to kill the occupant anyway, so I just took over his house. Good centralized location near fast travel options, stilt strider and mages guild.
dreth
My home base is in some wizard dwelling in Gnisis. Its great for a kill-at-leisure assassin like I am  . Its out of the way, in a small town so not that many guards so if I get in trouble I can kill them easy :D . Also, its a decent size so I can fit all my collected junk in there and some of my more valuable items. Finally, the silt strider nearby lets me go to major cities quick for a kill and get back in time for supper  .
ryushenji
It apprears that I have upset ryushenji quite a bit. However, it was completly unintentional, and I will try to explain myself the best I can. First off, I was not trying to be rude. You said:I don't have a mod, so I really don't know what ur talking about. And I took it as you didnt know what a mod was. You specifically stated that you dont have a mod and don't know what we are talking about. When I hear that, my brain tells me that when you don't know what someone is talking about, you probably don't know what it is. This is for the guy that thinks I don't know what a mod is...On other games on my XBOX, I use mods or what we like to call "SOFT MODS". On Crimson Skies, I use a mod for ONE HIT KILLS, INVINCIBILITY, and INFINITE BOOST & AMMO. On another game called PHANTASY STAR ONLINE, I create my own weapons, build my own character up to level 20,000 ( highest legit level is 200), and even walk around the game lobby as SONIC THE HEDGEHOG or KNUCKLES. So, I do know how to CHEAT... The operative word in that last sentence happend to be "CHEAT". Cheating is often called hacking (I am not implying that you are a hacker either). In online games (and I have been playing online games for several years, although not as many as you), cheating is usualy done in the console or by some other means. It is done the same exact way in Morrowind and Oblivion. If you dont believe me, open the console and type in "tcl" or "tgm". Those are exaples of Morrowind cheats (minus the quotes). Cheating in an offline game to me isn't as fun as CHEATING ONLINE. So excuse me if I just want to have fun...I have never cheated in an online game because the main one I used to play, I was in a clan for and cheating would only have gotton me kicked out of the clan. The only thing I can say here is that cheating online is probably more fun because you are playing with other people and not pre-programmed NPC's. Moding my XBOX online is better so that you can be ranked in the TOP 10... for bragging rights of course...I'm a little confused here. If you are talking about modding your physical XBOX, then that is completly different. That is taking apart the console and adding to it to make it better. But, moding for offline isn't as much fun. So next time I have a question, just remember that this game is an offline game and if ELDER SCROLLS came out with a MMORPG, then I'll see "YOU" online with my MOD'd PC.A few things here. First off, Elder Scrolls will not come out with a MMORPG any time soon. My name is Adras, not "YOU". And a modded PC is nothing more than taking it apart and making it better or overclocking it. Possibly using some programs to make it better. Oh, and for people that think I don't have a PC... I play WORLD of WARCRAFT on a regular basis... And I cheat on that game to... using BOTS. So have fun cheating by yourself... if you want real fun, cheat online... so you can have bragging rights... until next time MORROWIND GODS... on this game I'm just a peon... but follow me to an ONLINE game and you will know the real definition of the word MOD.I, nor has anyone else, never said that you don't have a PC. I have a PC. Probably 70 - 80% of the people on this forum play Morrowind and Oblivion on the PC. Infact most of the time when giving help, we assume the person who needs the help is on a PC. That is why sometimes someone will talk about putting something in the console. An XBOX does not have a console (yes, it is called a console, but I am talking about something different). I am not trying to be mean or patronizing or rude, but most of your argument was pointless. Before going off and yelling about the fact that you know how to cheat, please say something nicely. I accept the fact that you do know how to 'cheat', but on these forums, and any forum dealing with Elder Scrolls games, 'modding' is severly different from 'cheating'. Cheating in an Elder Scrolls is (as I said earlier) going into the console (~) and typing something such as "tcl" or "player->setspeed 500". That is changing your game right then and there. Modding is completly different. For Morrowind and Oblivion (the only two Elder Scrolls that can be modded), you have to go into the Construction Set and physically sit down and add, delete, or change something from the game. If you bought Morrowind, it has a disc called the Construction Set. That has all the data files from the game on it so you can create new objects or do some other things. Most of the time, a mod adds a house, weapons, armor, town, quests or factions. They do a number of other things as well like adding new meshes and textures for an existing mesh or texture in the game. You have to save the mod to your computer. You can make your own or download one that someone else has made and uploaded to a site such as the one you are reading this on. Mods require imagination and thinking, not just the knowledge of how to insert a cheat code. I am sorry that I may have upset you and I hope that you forgive me. I assume that you have never heard of a Morrowind mod, but I did not know that your idea of the word "mod" meant the same as "cheat". If this post makes you more mad, dont post your anger, as it will only get you in trouble. PM me. If I wanted a flame war (which is against the rules), you almost started one. I have been working on a mod for over two years now, and if you would like to see some pictures of it to see what a mod is, go to http://adras.kermodebear.org. P.S. I do admit that some people do nothing more with mods than cheat. They add or modify weapons just so they can use them to "pwn" a whole town. Thanks for your explanation, I do know what you meant by modding... All I was saying was that when I ask a question... please keep in mind that I am using an XBOX and not modding... The only way I cheat on this game is to use a CE Night-eye at 100% on self. I didn't mean anything by it. And, I called you by "YOU" cause the only name that I remember on this site is Malchik cause "she" helps me out alot...I didn't want to start a flame war, I just want people to answer my questions with the same old "MOD"... If you remember at some point in your MW history you probably didn't use a mod... so just for next time, just remember that I'd like to play this game finding cool ideas for those of us that isn't modded... Someone wrote me the other day that I should use some of the houses in Caldera... I have to thank that person... he knew he was modded but chose to treat me as a non-modder which is what I'm looking for... So for all the modders out there, Ryushenji is a non-modder... and try to answer my questions without refering to a mod as your final answer...I'm not saying that you should ignore me, but just try to help me without the help of your mods. Thanks for your time and effort. :D
Mercbird
Sjoe much reading! I used to use the haunted flat in Vivec (where you killed the ancestor ghost mentioned earlier in the thread) as a satelite home but mostly ( without mods), the main base provided by your house, and of course anyone who had been 'removed' or where non essential and who's home I coveted. Nerano Manor I liked in spite of tripping over the body all the time and the one across the square direction of the silt strider, but some characters just lived the guild life. For mods I used my own (never released, you're supposed to release quests not just a house etc.) or latest greatest housing mod. Which I modded. Never released. Sorry no modding, I forget. Hard to imagine playing without.
cryocry
Well, I use the Balmora Private Tower most of the time. Sometimes I forgot to extract it, so then I'd use Dura gra-Bol's house in (yes) Balmora. Why? Well, I get a lot of loot, and I need to store it! In fact, I once filled up Dura's house with loot. Malchik... Mal chik... Mal chick... oh! Wait... are you sure, ryushenji?

Do you know what it means in Russian. I do, so go look it up in an English/Russian dictionary. *Points down*Well I write you see and atm it is a fantasy novel. So when I needed a name I picked the one I had just used in the story - Malchik apprentice wizard of death. It seemed appropriate for the character as Malchik is russian for 'boy' (also in the slang in A Clockwork Orange) and there is the hint of death and evil in the latin translation of Mal. Looking back I rather wished I chosen a name that had no meaning at all as I have many such names in the book but there you go.Yup. It's boy. Enough evidence (Plus that it says 'male' on the profile page  ) to tell he is male. Ah Balmora Tower... Nice place. Balmora. Balmora... It's always Balmora... Say it out loud too many times and it sounds stupid, just as every other word does.
Malchik
I once appeared on stage playing a woman! I even have a photo. But it will never appear in public in my lifetime! When I last looked I was of the masculine gender. Of course, with all the hormones that end up in the drinking water these days that shrink a man's ...... - anyway, 'he' is the correct pronoun. In Russian it means something similar to "lesbian", so why do you have that name if your not a girl? Maybe your a masculine girl or had a sex change to be a guy. I don't know and don't care. it is deceitful to those that you portray yourself as something that your not. But, if you have a pic show me in private, you do have my hotmail address and it would be kept private if your a masculine girl or a trannie? Or just another gaming guy.
