I installed this mod by placing it in the override folder and made sure I took out any mor's that would conflict with Dragon Age Redesign. Started a new game with new character. All was working well until after I defeated Redcliff Village and entered the castle. After all those scenes with Jowan, and Alistair suggesting we head to the circle of magi to get Lirruim, I decided to head the the Arl's study to retrieve the locket. Once I get center where the statues are the game crashes I get "Dragon Age Origins has stopped responding"

 

I have so many mods and my override is so large I am lost just looking at it. I did remove the file suggested by the creator of Improved Romance Scenes. I have many mods, so therefore I don't know what it is causing it. I went to the Improved Atmosphere page to post my question but like everyone I'm eager to get on with my game and I'm stuck. I'm willing now to just delete the mod because really there was only one thing I wanted and that was the Robes and some Clothing especially the rob worn by the cultist in the Chantry up in Haven. Is there a way to just keep those clothes and rid of everything else that might be conflicting? Or am I out there?

I just finished uninstall all armor, removed Dragon Age Redesign, unticked Morrigan's Ritual, then I went back to a previous save before entering the castle. Saved, exited then reloaded the new save, and it still crashed.

 

All I want from improved atmosphere is this robe found in Haven in the chantry on the head dude there.:

I removed the mod, and I had to remove the character too. I want to use this mod but for some reason it isn't working in that area. I've tried to remove every mod except the hair and makeup mods and it still crashed. What am I doing wrong?

IA does not play well with others. It is one of the more problematic mods out there. It works for some people and others have nothing but trouble with it. It affects so many areas it is next to impossible to predict what it could be conflicting with. If you must use it, I suggest using nothing else (other than face mods) and even that may be risky.

Thank you so far 3 mods seems to be conflicting and I wish I knew why they are:

 

Silverbliess (gain double exp)

 

Tal Storage Chest

 

Open Spell locks

 

I removed those and so far no crash.

 

I contacted the modders but doubt anything will be done. I also looked around IA folders to see what could be the conflict but I have ZERO idea of even what to look for. I know the Silverbliss has a creaturecor,ncs file in the override which I took out but I don't see any creature core file in IA. I can live with out the other two but would really like to try to find a way that silverbliss can still be used. If I knew what conflicts with it perhaps that part of IA I could remove. *sigh*

If it is xp you are needing, why not give the Dragon Age Beguiler 004 a try. You won't get double xp but you can add xp, attributes, skills, talents, gold and levels as you wish. I have yet to find it conflicting with anything. (I usually start my games at level 28 or higher so I can use the awakenings talents.)

 

I'm sure that somewhere in the erfs that IA uses you will find alternate copies of files from your conflicting mods.

Would that also account for clear faces and eyes on "some" characters? I had an issue with City Elf Origin. Some of the elves had clear skin/eyes, but not eveyone and despite any efforts I couldn't get it fixed and had to reinstall. So thought I'd ask the knowledgeable folk here in hopes of an anwser. Many thanks in advance... :wallbash:

You probably need to run DA_CharGenMorphCompiler.exe to clear up any conflicts or bad calls.
