hormel09
I've read this is a fairly common problem. You level up, choose your points, then choose your perk. Once you hit done, the game becomes unresponsive and you have to ctrl+alt+delete out of it. However, I have found that everyone who has had this problem discovered it was from the FOOK mod causing it. I've never used the FOOK mod and the freeze only occurs when I'm using FWE. If I disable FWE, I can level, but then I level 2-3 times instead of once. This defeats the purpose of using FWE since I really enjoy the slower paced leveling. Things I have tried:1. Disabling FWE and leveling. This works, but causes the leveling issue I just mentioned2. Disabling FWE, hard save game, Enable FWE, attempt leveling. Still froze.3. On FWE's change log it states "MMM FOIP – Removes a script on harvested misc items related to visual damage that causes the game to freeze on level up. Temporary fix until MMM can be updated. Other tweaks consistent with 6.03 changes." This seems to be the issues I am having, except I'm not using MMM when this happens. For a hail Mary, I installed MMM and the FWE-MMM FOIP patch. Didn't fix the issue. By disable and enable I don't mean the check mark. I actually uninstall the mod and install the mod. My Fallout.ini is updated for the core fix. I also use FOSE and 3GB enabler. M48A5
Rearrange your FWE plugins so that they are in the same order as the vanilla game. With the small amount of mod you are using, you do not need a merged patch. Place the Unofficial FO3 Patch after Zeta.esm. Did you install the FWE 6-03a Hotfix? Are you sure you changed the correct .ini? The one in the My Games\Fallout 3 folder?

I copy pasted someone else's load order and edited to look like mine (I didn't want to type all that out). I just forgot to change the order to match mine. I removed my personal merged patch. Did you install the FWE 6-03a Hotfix?Yes. Are you sure you changed the correct .ini? The one in the My Games\Fallout 3 folder? I didn't do it myself. I thought the unofficial patch did that. I went to the .ini file and checked and it looks like it did the same thing as manually changing it. http://i.imgur.com/Jh6RKIY.png I was looking at the Blackened page and it implied installing FWE on NMM was problematic. It instead suggested downloading the files manually, unzipping them to the same folder, archiving them, then adding the mod as a file. This did change a few things. It installed as a single mod. It didn't install optional plugins when I left them unchecked in the scripted installer (before it installed some even if left unchecked). I tried everything again from my original post after installing FWE with this method, and it yielded the same results. I also tried using the Blackened patch while having MMM installed. I had to use the Paradox Mergers version of MMM as Blackened requires. Same result.
