Modular Assault Rifle

I have been working on a M.A.R. or Modular Assault Rifle for quite some time now, and I am wondering if it is worth re-doing in order to be uploaded to the site. Basically, the weapon when equipped presents you with a message:

 

Select Weapon Type:

 

Special

SMG

Magnum

Assault

Shotgun

Sniper

Energy

Grenade Launcher

 

The idea is to be able to carry ONE weapon to fire ANY type of ammo.

I used the G36C as the base, and each weapon type has it's own model, with the selection for silenced/un silenced as well.

 

There are so many variants to the weapons that i made i will try to list them here by category:

 

Special : Flamer, Saw, Missile

SMG: (looks like an mp5 with the G36 Lower end) 5mm, 9mm, 10mm

Magnum: (looks like a sawed off G36 with a different front end and barrel) .32, .357, .44, .45, .50

Assault:(one has M4 parts, the other is stock G36) 5.56, 7.62

Shotgun: (a spas12 crammed into a G36) 10 GA, 12 GA shell and slug both calibers

Sniper: (AWM parts, Dragunov Parts) 5.56, 7.62, .308, .50 BMG

Energy: Plasma, Alien, Laser (All seperate models)

Grenade Launcher: (Scoped and Unscoped) 40mm -> Frag, HE, Pulse, Plasma, Incediary, Flashbang, Acid.

 

so, before i put the effort in re-making this mod because it is attached to my MAIN mod, adding 1,000 weapons.......Is this Idea something that is interesting to the public or not?

I was just being funny because the idea itself sounds like a funny sci-fi cheat. A single weapon that can fire any round from shotgun to sniper sounds more like a cheat mod than a versatility mod...but I'm just saying that from the description given.

 

A real-world example of a versatile / modular weapon platform is the Bushmaster ACR that allows you to quickly change out the barrel and magazine so it can fire .223, 5.56mm NATO, 6.8mm Rem SPC and even .22 LR eventually.

oh, so big lol to the dummy haha.

 

Well i got the weapon idea from toying around with the attachments and weapon configuration from the splinter cell serries.

 

each weapon needs the parts required for that weapon in order to change mode.

 

either way, it DOES seem a bit cheaty.....but the weapon's condition deteriorates quite quickly, and by use of scripts, each weapon carries the overall condition as the last. you have to choose: do i change to alien and only shoot 20 rounds, or do i use the 5mm smg silenced and shoot 400?

 

the models are pretty much just mashed together with the G36 Lower reciever, but i did my best just using nifskope to "hide" the overlaping areas.

 

Unrealistic having a flamer? COD Black ops has one for assault rifles

Unrealistic having a SAW? GOW's Lancer has a saw

what about the grenade launcher shooting 5 different loads? well.....**

 

i made the "parts" weigh respectively to what they would actually weigh, so carrying around every part would be just like carrying around an arsenal anyways.

 

so i DID put SOME thought into this, besides.......I like only carrying 3 weapons on my character.

 

1) a handgun

2) a machete

3) the M.A.R.

 

 

now if i made a fatman attachment it would be a bit much......although......naww nevermind.

That would kick more ass than having a Donkey that I could ride in the game.
