I rescently got a dell laptop and tried installing oblivion on it. It instals fine and the system sets grphics to "medium" by default, but when i play im losing a ton of frames. i know mods have been made (like texture replacers) to help th egame run better on low end systems. could someone post some good ones here, or any other suggestions, to help it run smoother

System specs are;

2.16 ghz intel centrino duo

2 gb ram

256mb geforce 7300

I believe he was joking, as Dell laptops have a reputation of overheating due to poor battery design. ^^;

I think the biggest thing you can use for helping the game to run better on low end systems is Oldblivion. Try that and see how things go.

thanks, ill try it. but i dont see how the battery should matter if im running it out of the wall, and i didnt think this was a low end system. the video card has more memory than my desktop does and it can run oblivion on high.

Yup, Oldblivion sure gave low-end computer gamers the chance to play Oblivion. Do bear in mind that lap-tops arent designed for games anyways ^^. Thats where desktops come in.
