majikmonkee
I use about thirty different mods currently, and I've tried disabling them one at a time to locate the culprit here, but no luck so far... I've noticed what when I slash a wall, the little sparks that appear slowly go away as if in slow motion, while everything else continues to run at normal speed. Also, when I activate one of the platforms in a tower in Oblivion or any "hidden door", it takes a very long time for the door or platform to move, while me and everything else remain unaffected. I'm guessing Deadly Reflex may somehow be to blame but deactivating the mod didn't seem to make a difference. Anyone else experience this issue? Smooth613
Sounds like the Animation Bug, A-bomb. It usually doesn't happen until later in the game, around 200-ish hours. You can use Wrye Bash's Repair A-Bomb function to fix it or OAF - Oblivion Animation Fixer. The following two links talk more about the issues. Slow Frozen Doors, Fire, Spells, Animation, etc... majikmonkee
I feel kind of stupid not having found this with the keywords I searched. Thanks for the help, I very much appreciate it. This is a savegame with 300+ hours so I think we hit the nail on the head.
majikmonkee
Blast it...I used OAF and it solved the problem, but won't let me access my inventory screens now. I think that's kind of a worse problem than I had to begin with. Thank goodness for backup save games...
