Samuel446 Posted April 17, 2015 Posted April 17, 2015 So im trying to download mods to my fallout 3. When I try it tells me Unable to get write permission for: C:\Program Files (x86)\Bethesda Softworks\Fallout 3. Can someone please help me out? Thank You.
M48A5 Posted April 17, 2015 Posted April 17, 2015 You have two options, the best one is to completely uninstall Fallout 3, do a search of your hard drive and remove all traces of Fallout 3. Do a computer restart and install the game in a custom location, outside of Program Files. This will remove the game from the control of the User Access Control security program and allow easier modding of the game. I take it you are trying to use NMM. Run it as an administrator.
AneirinCrawford Posted April 25, 2015 Posted April 25, 2015 can someone help i have been trying to launch fose with mods from nmm turned on and it dosent work then to play the game normally i have to re install it i could only use fose and mod for one day got back on the next and it started to crash my before it even got to the menu again
