Crashing in Camp Searchlight

I've been getting a lot of crashes in Camp Searchlight, specifically when I enter a building and try to leave. Instead of taking me back to Searchlight, the game crashes to desktop. Does anyone know of a fix?

Crashing on leaving a building tends to happen in areas that push the game engine to it's limits memory wise. Nipton is notorious for that, Searchlight less so but it can still happen.

 

Are you using the 4GB patch for the game and NVAC? They make a huge difference.

 

A workaround is to wait for 4 in game days inside the building before you try to leave. The exterior cell will reset and be less likely to crash. This is especially true if you've left a lot of corpses outside.
