eLucifer
I haven't been playing New Vegas for a while, going back to F3 to sort some things, then I wanted to play NV again today. But when I launched the game(I use FOMM and FOSE, have Archieve Invalidation and 20-ish mods installed) it went right back to desktop without even showing me the launch screen. I updated FOMM and FOSE, but now all I get is a very short glimpse of the first launch screen, then the game goes back to desktop with an error message saying FNV failed, you might lose your unsaved work, etc. I'm pretty sure none of the mods I use cause this problem. What do you think it might be?
WastelandAssassin
well, i had the same problemthe thing is, for me, it might crash twice, but work properly on the third timeso just try it once or twice again, see if it's loading properly nowcan't promise that it will work, but if we have the same problem, then it should work for you
secksegai
It's actually probably your Archive Invalidated - apparently since one of the patches, you need to have the archive files load in a specific order - in the Beware of Girl Type 3 Body, the description lists a working order. BlackCompany
I'll check out that mod's page then. If you are reaching the first slide screen but not the menu screen when loading check your mod load order. If any mod changes ANY leveled list beginning with VHD in GECK, this is the exact crash produced EVERY SINGLE time. You get one look at the first slide, with havok, etc listed on it, and then CTD. I discovered and tested this myself for verification; changing leveled lists with VHD in the beginning produces this crash 100% of the time. This crash, and no other.
