FNVEdit says Dead Money.esm is first

It's not... My game loads fine and they are showing as being in the correct order in NMM. But in FNVEdit it's keeping me from cleaning Dead Money because it's showing FalloutNV.esm as the second plug in. I also can't check for compatibility issues because it crashes the load order.

 

I'm stumped as to what could be causing it.

Go to your install directory for the game. Run FalloutNVLauncher.exe. Click Data Files. Click the OK button. Click EXIT. Restart FNVEdit.
