And I'm a bit of a mage character, so I can't really spend that much into health. Can someone tell me if it's just my situation? Here are my stats...200 Magicka170 HP170 Stamina (Yeah, I know... wayyy too much, but then again, I'm a spellsword so I have to) At level 26....68 destruction32 block56 one-handed61 archery33 light armor And I get one-shot.....................I'm starting to get mad. And yes, I play on master. Edited April 25, 2015 by Cowgoesmoo3
Staff BigBizkit Posted April 25, 2015 Staff Posted April 25, 2015 For me it has always been those damn shockspell wielding mages. Zap -> you're dead. No chance to avoid it. Downright cheap.
SeanMungo Posted April 25, 2015 Posted April 25, 2015 You could try to sneak around and try to 1 tap them. or you could lower the difficulty, but that would be cheap huh. Do you have any perk points in the LightArmor Skill? Also, which armor are you wearing? You can also try something alot of people forget about. ... Have you upgraded you armor at the workbench yet? Playing on master means you have to be on top of everything that gives you any type of advantage :P
jones177 Posted April 25, 2015 Posted April 25, 2015 Hi That is why I use "Death Alternative" & have followers with me. My character has a chance to recover as my followers engage the enemy. Later
Noortje Posted April 25, 2015 Posted April 25, 2015 (edited) You need to train your light armor to a high level (train it five teams at the trainer npc every time you level up), get some perks and invest in good armor, perhaps consider smithing too. Also install skytweak and reduce the accuracy of npcs slightly, it's 100% accuracy for npcs by default, unless you constantly strave left and right randomly they are going to hit you which isn't realistic, Skyrim has pretty primitive bows and not everyone is a master archer. notmyhome Posted April 25, 2015 Posted April 25, 2015 Abuse the living Oblivion out of Alchemy. Fortify Health + Restore Health should be a staple recipe of any LA fighter during the early levels.
smoky0mcpot Posted April 25, 2015 Posted April 25, 2015 In my opinion it does not matter what type of character you are playing maxing out the smithing and enchanting skills is a must and will help you the most. Also try to get the master alteration spell from tolfdir as soon as possible.
Cowgoesmoo3 Posted April 25, 2015 Author Posted April 25, 2015 (edited) No, no, guys, I mean... is it just me that gets one-shot? I mean this is just wrong. If I'm wearing mage robes because I have to for the magic, if one ice spell or fireball hits me I die. At least... make it so that I only have to hit someone ELSE once or twice... I swear there was a mod back then that made the game hard like Dark souls, but at least it would be fair since you wouldn't have to create a giant macrocyclonic firestorm by spamming 40-70 fireballs and make your whole screen turn into an HD fire screensaver trying to kill a forsworn next to you. smoky0mcpot Posted April 25, 2015 Posted April 25, 2015 Well i play on adept difficulty with the best armor level 80 two enchantments on all armor pieces and i get killed with one hit on occasion so it must happen quite often on master.
PeggleFrank Posted April 26, 2015 Posted April 26, 2015 I typically turn on god-mode when entering combat of any sort. For whatever reason, I die in seconds, even with all my stats in health and on adept difficulty. Artificially boosting my health with modav is, for one, not permanent across saves, and two, usually incapable of giving me more than too little health as to not die and less than too much health as to not be invincible (or, in other words, a "balanced" amount of health), so I usually just resort to cheating because I'm a dirty cheating cheater. Traps also kill me in one shot, on any difficulty and under any circumstances with any amount of health and any amount of armor. The game hates me.
